  1. Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own. Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert Heinlein *** “Today is our day.” Those were the first words out of my mouth when Twoey opened his eyes. That is, right after my kiss. “What should we do?” “After I make you come this morning? Well, I expect we’ll take a shower. Then I’ll make us breakfast. We should probably call your mom again to check in with her. Maybe she’ll give me a chance to s
  2. Yeah, I agree with Kj--Robbie won't be able to avoid the inevitable. And now especially with all the witnesses of their first date--witnesses tied to the school and even Robbie's household. I hope he'll be strong. I hope his brother/roommate takes it OK. He'll probably be the most important one for Robbie anyway.

    Chapter 24

Good job of easing Devin back into the team with this chapter, Hunter! It was also good to see Miles helping him along. Only one more chapter? I hope you plan to tell us the outcome of the trial.
  4. I was really missing you, man! It was good to peek in on Ryan and Clayton again. I'm glad the move is done and plans are made for the big DC ceremony--and with their friends too. Thanks for this!

    Sonata

Haha! A great poem, my friend! And to completely underline the musical structure, I found myself following the tempo markings as I read it! Vivaldi, himself, would have been proud of how quickly I danced over the strings of the presto. At least as fast as Giuliano Carmignola!
  6. You're so right, tim. Life is big and broad and lovely and dirty and smooth and rough. Your poems do make me appreciate life, in all its conflicting glories. Thank you for that! (I was going to use 'juxtaposition,' but AC beat me to it, so I won't.)
  7. Thanks so much, geoff! I'm sorry the last several chapters were so rough. But David really needed to hit the bottom in order to never go there again. Your wish is my command ...Danny isn't finished with his only two 'crushes' just yet.
  8. Thanks, jess! Nah, too close to the end to have the zombie of Burch rear his ugly rear and tear this all apart, looking for David's brain. Although if that zombie were smart, he'd realize the last thing he should ever internalize would be Davids brain ...hehe.
  9. Thanks, Def! Well, to be honest, until a few weeks ago I had a little doubt too. Don't tell anyone, but there were a couple endings written for this story. I think it might have been YOUR threat that scared the crap out of me and made me choose this ending. Ah, peaches and cream!
  10. Thanks, Dayne! Wow! Life without plans. Makes me chuckle. Go for it! I think you're right about the non-loving previous experiences only underlining and highlighting what they will experience now. Aaaannd ...Danny's not quite finished with the boys yet.
  11. Thanks, Ron! You make a good point. David accepts himself. With the type of person he's revealed himself to be, that's going to be a huge part of the battle, and it's behind him now. And Twoey's in front of him now.
  12. Thanks, spikey! I guess we can't take the "teenager" out of the teenagers, but they might actually have a shot at it, as you pointed out. Maybe their steel has been hardened by the fire. Let's hope the 'calm' and loving David is back to stay. The fact he knows he has healing to do is a positive. The story will obviously end with lots of unanswered questions, but hey--that's the way life is, especially when you're only 15.
  13. Thank you, Parker! Yes, we can only hope their 'forever' really turns out to be forever. As spikey mentioned above, with all they've been through--why not?
  14. Thanks, Roy! And thanks for the nice comments. There WERE a lot of demons to confront and overcome. And while David isn't "there" yet, just realizing that fact puts him well on the road to recovery. And--he's got Twoey. I hope you soon find your own Twoey. - xxox!
  15. Thanks, CG! I think you're right. The previous experience (even though David's was only one night) will make the boys realize what it's like to be intimate with a very special person. Sorry I inflicted so many sucky chapters on you, but there were a few pleasant ones, no?
  16. Thanks, Hunter! Yep. Get to a dentist right away. This chapter wasn't approved by either the ADA, or CDA. Happy you can relax as the roller coaster glides into the terminal.
  17. Thanks, jt! Yep, now the boys can concentrate on each other for a few days. They'll bump into Tommy soon enough.
  18. Thanks, lux! Aw...everyone deserved this after the last few chapters.
  19. Thanks, Def! Alex also thanks you for stopping here to give her a little nod. I guess sometimes you need a friend with aggressive, tough love.
  20. Thank you, Parker! Alex thanks you too--hehe. Sorry if the last few chapters gave you insomnia.
  21. Yikes! What a terrible end to the high school gang! Even though David wasn't "on site" to witness the troubles, it still must have affected him deeply. Gary's suggestion (below) that it helps explain his insecurities seems right on. I didn't like the Brady thing either. I didn't even like it for Brady! With a family like that, he should run, not walk, to the nearest exit! Anyway, even though they are fighting to keep things together--and it was nice for Mike too come around after he got home and was so short-tempered--I can feel the cracks getting wider in their relationship. And that doesn't even include Rain in the mix. A good chapter which exposes all this sometimes contradictory stuff. Real life is very often filled with contradictory little details. Well done!

    Chapter 24

The last chapter was a very strong ending to this thoroughly enjoyable story, Ron! And I think 'strength' also applies to Dorian. He grew in strength and determination as the story progressed. He was helped by amazing friends and, of course, by Wes. But he also had the internal strength to become what he has become. So, thanks for that. And thanks for sharing this great story with us!
  23. Life is better than death, I believe, if only because it is less boring, and because it has fresh peaches in it. Alice Walker *** You simply cannot believe what it was like to wake up in the arms of the dream I never thought would come true. To be finally connected to my other half completed me in a way I never knew possible. I didn’t want to move a muscle, to disturb this perfection. I didn’t even mind the blond hair in my face or the urge to get up and pee. I needed us to

    Late May

Thank you so much, sweetlion! I appreciate the way you interpreted Gary and his appraisal of the 'scared boy' he was falling for. Also for detecting the irony of class conflict and what we expect will be the ultimate conclusion. btw Gary's bday is fast approaching!

Your wringing words draw on the fabric of lost love itself. They twist and weave and wrench and leave us in the throes of anguish. Unfortunately, too well done. If you had been a little clumsy, it would have distracted the reader. Very excellent work, as usual, Parker!
