It took my brother and I over an hour to get from Kennedy and Eg - via the 401 - to my place at Yonge and Sheppard. So glad big brother was driving, because the 401 was a mess, too.

I’ve only had the option to take a bus when the subways stopped and shuttle buses ran, but I hoofed it when that happened, because the buses were sardine cans. I stay clear of that because of an experience years ago when I took GoTrained it to work. The train was packed and I was stuck by the door. Being an express the doors stayed shut a long time. My knapsack had frost (it was winter) on it from leaning against the door and I got really nauseous - thankfully we got to Union and the doors opened before I got sick - never got on a packed train after that.

I was just thinking - hot shower added to the warm up routine. Sounds like it worked, so yay for that.

Took me a while - like a couple of hours - doing the same as you, but I finally got warm. Hope you will, too. Course, I was lucky, because my brother dropped me off at my front door on the way to visit his MiL. His flight got cancelled, so he’s now stuck at an airport hotel waiting for a new booking to get home.

Hey Thorn Nowhere near the amount of snow you’re experiencing, but it’s still coming down, so who knows...might catch up yet. Right now I’m snuggled under a blanket, and this is where I plan to stay.

No massive snow drifts here, but it is - according to the weather network - going to snow more on Monday (in the evening is what my mom heard). I’ll be back home by then, so I’m happy about that. As for the snowplows? It did take them a bit of time for them to get moving in my area during that last snowfall we had.

That was wonderful, tim. This refrain brings home the idea of the important and special experiences of one’s life that are what we remember at the end. It’s those small, sweet moments (okay, they can be big moments, too) that enrich our souls beyond measure that count the most. Reading these passages, I felt as if I was right there in that moment sharing the scene. Bravo, tim, bravo... PS: the technical side of this form of poetry kind of left me in the dust, and that makes me all the more appreciative of your gifted mind. It flowed well from start to finish and made for a very enjoyable read. It was soothing, calming and comfortable...I hope that makes sense. -
My brother had one of these when he was in school. The fact they are still around today, bodes well for how good they are.
