Just a quick aside before I get into the chapter.
I googled a Suzuki Samurai and I think this vehicle fits my image - and yours I’m guessing - of what Detective Ross looks like and how he carries himself on the daily.
Excellent choice, tim! 👍🏻👍🏻
This line says so much!
You have a very clever way with words, tim.
Bravo!
PS: I could read more of this it’s so engaging. 👍🏻👍🏻
Somehow, I missed this the first time around. My bad…
I have say, I did enjoy Detective Ross’s character and his approach to everything he encountered.
Now on to Part II.
Same for me
Ugh, it’s the same for me, but I notice the temp is supposed to be above freezing for you and me for most of the rain, so maybe it won’t turn out as bad as the are predicting.
Having said that, I’m glad I did my grocery shopping today.
🤞🏻🤞🏻

The thoughts and feels were plentiful in this chapter leaving me sitting here just absorbing them all.
Thank you, tim, for sharing such a wonderful story with the rest of us.
Sorry to hear that, I got virtually no snow. It only stayed a bit on the grass, and weirdly, on my three porch steps. The driveway, porch and other walkways completely clear. Mind you, it was a bit on the windy side.
I hear you. I was looking at the snow coming down and hoping there won’t be enough to accumulate, so it will disappear (ie., no shovelling required) on its own.
Why do I think this was “dear old dad’s “ intention all along? 😡
Jokes on him though, so now he gets to spin in his grave for all eternity.
So, three cheers all around!
Uh,oh, he’s getting attached, so we all know what tnat means…
Amirite?
ETA: Well, that didn’t take long. Wrong, I am. Oh wells, better “guess” next time.
Poor Lonnie.
He's having a hard time finding his way. Just when he thinks he is going the right way, he realizes he' taken a wrong turn.
Even though he backed out of the "date" with Keve, I think he will be brave enough to try again with Keve.
I was giggling before Lonnie was, let me tell you. Loved that show!
I could hear the helicopter blades starting up, but I’m glad they “powered down”, because I don’t think hovering parents are what Lonnie needs right now. Still, they seem to have their hearts in the right place.
ETA: Gotta say, tim, your story has a nice easy flow to it, which is making it a pleasure to read. The serious bits and the lighthearted bits gel really nicely as well.
