Hi Bucket! Aod also likes it, and just like Gary, Aod was upset and near tears after episode 3.
-
I know that feeling. I have mine done every three months, and I sweat it every time going in and sigh in relief leaving. I'm wishing us both many happy checkups in the future!

What a chapter! Rory heard enough to know that Biosense is providing blood to Milan's dad. Dr. Takeda is focused on Rory's cure that he wants to know more about the donor. He's educated enough to know that the blood is highly unusual. He sounds more like a victim of fate than a villain. I wonder if the blood donor is the sick lone wolf that Chris and Rory were chasing? In addition, Dr. Takeda has another patient with the same problem as Milan, Nisin. I suspect from the information we got before that Nisin is the son of the head of Biosense. Kiyo is in the middle of something that may bring trouble to the community as well as Kiyo's family. Nisin seems like a good kid in a bad situation and also needs to be rescued. Now it looks like the Council is going to demand some answers from Rory. The next chapter is going to be one hell of a ride.

Yes a fluffy chapter, but leaves a very satisfying and warm feeling. I like that Rory gave Milan the amulet given to Rory by his mother. I think that it may be more than symbolic in protecting Milan.

Hey Page! Hope all is well with you guys.

Hi Gary! I forgot to mention, but Aod is watching The Last of Us also. Last night he came into our bedroom all upset asking "How can they do that?" He was depressed by episode 3 and called it a tragedy. I don't know what "they" did, but it took a few minutes to calm him down. He is really getting into the series.

This is a great romp from the depths of hell to an alternate universe. No one is spared in this laugh fest of characters and readers in crazy games shows. @kbois and @astone2292 did a fabulous collaboration of comedy that will keep you laughing. I especially loved one of the disclaimers. I highly recommend you follow this advice!

Chapter 7-Epilogue and Author's Notes
raven1 commented on kbois's story chapter in Chapter 7-Epilogue and Author's Notes
Well they did it! I can see the headlines now: FLASH! AAH... SAVIORS OF THE UNIVERSE! QUEENS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE! A great finish to the story @astone2292 and @kbois! This unexpected epilogue had me laughing again. Loved the morning routine, but the best shot was,- 95 comments

I agree with the comments. Yes! A first kiss finally. I also want a leaf to fall off. I hope Rory's freakiness is the cure for Milan's illness.

Connor was smart enough to realize that the problem Chris and Rory had was very serious and called on their deep seated loyalty to family. The trip to the sacred cave was beautifully describe. From what was said, the problems caused by humans was very deep. However, it is very clear that Connor still loves his wife and learned from her some lessons of acceptance. He applied those to Chris to help him see that Rory is facing a life without love if Rory has to give up Milan. Both boys are chastened and will be stronger. The lone wolf is a question. Is the wolf dangerous or in search of safety. Another well written chapter. @lilansui, you have great skill at writing dialogue that is realistic and true to your characters. Great chapter.

There is a lot of bias in the town against humans. The conversation between Chris and Rory described a town full of those who had suffered greatly from humans. That's a lot of hate to overcome. Rory and Milan's mating with stir up the entire town. If Kiyo's work at Biosense has any negative impact on the town it will make the situation for these two even worse. I can understand how Chris feels, but think that his love for Rory will bring him around to acceptance. I would like to know more about the accident that caused the death of Chris' parents and Rory's mother. Things are definitely on edge, especially with Lechter's campaign. One thing that has not been mentioned is if there are nearby packs, and whether they have different rules and beliefs. I wonder also what happened to the prior mates who got kicked out of town for being human/shifter mates.

Rory's time with Milan and the family actually went well. I wasn't surprised by the inquisition of Ayu and his mother. I think both of them were impressed by how Rory is sincere in his concern for Milan. I think both see how happy Milan is when Rory is there. Grandma Asta is an interesting and eccentric character. I wonder if she is a shifter or a witch. Her cryptic words about a dangerous shadow were concerning. I suspect it may have been about the wolf stalker, but may be about what's happening a Biosense. It didn't take many words from Milan for her to understand Rory's problem, and it was indeed a great gift she gave him. With his temper and jealousy he needs something to help him control his emotions. The five leaves have some significance, but when one immediately falls off it lead me to think it was also a measure of how close he is to becoming one with his mate.

The comments of others in the community that were made to Rory demonstrate the challenge Rory faces in order to keep Milan with him. Rory is having none of that however. I was surprised that he didn't want to confide in Chris, his brother, that Milan was his mate. Chris is definitely close and wants to support him. I was happy Chris said he would support Rory in regards to Chris' assignment to find information about Ayu. Chris should take his assignment as an opportunity to learn. Ayu would probably be a good tutor for Chris.

Awesome interview with @Headstall! ❤️ He is my favorite author because of all the different stories he writes so well! Gary, I thank you for the answers you provided. I have often wanted you to describe your thinking on all the stories and characters you have created. You did a great job, and I can't think of any of my favorites you missed. I had to chuckle when you had a difficult time selecting your favorite story. Since I have read so many of your stories, I also have that problem. I think your first three choices were what I would have selected, but some, like Endings, would be there too, because it made me think and rethink things that eventually changed my life. Thanks for all you write!

Hey Everyone! Hope things are going well for all. Guess who's featured author on Ask An Author? None other than Headstall! Great interview Gary! I was grateful that you answered questions about how you write. Your detailed and lively explanations of your writing and stories were an enjoyable read.

Rory's decision to limit who knows Milan is his mate is in jeopardy from the way he treats others. Jack is a prime example. Milan's first day went OK, even with meeting Rowen. He did handle her well, and I can see Milan and Rowen becoming good friends. Rory isn't making points with Milan when Rory gets too aggressive. Rory needs to be more diplomatic.
-
I found it interesting that the town put up a very sophisticated barrier around Biosense, but didn't surround it completely. Kiyo shows a deep love and focus on Milan. It is his focus that may be the root of his rudeness to Rory. Rory's exploration gained some knowledge of the secrecy surrounding Kiyo's work. That his lab is away from the main building, underground and only the top guy in Biosense knows what he is doing is alarming. Lechter's campaign is off to a quick start. I hope Connor has time to research and organize his forces to counter Lechter.

Rory's visit was just what Milan needed after missing the town party. It was a very sweet chapter. I'm glad that Kiyo had to leave so they could spend time together. I am surprised that they got as much time as they did. Kiyo felt like he would be back before the procedure was done.

That will be a hoot! I'm looking forward to that project. You three do melodrama so well in the stories and comments! @kbois would make a great Joan Crawford. @Mrsgnomie would make a very good Bette Davis and @astone2292 I picture as Jack Nickolson

Connor is very understanding of Rory's situation with his mate, Milan. However, I don't agree with Connor that Kiyo is the threat. Kiyo is in the middle between his family, the pack and Biosense. The reason he is not scene a lot is his determination to find a cure for Milan. I think Biosense will use that to pressure Kiyo to do things that may not be ethical or in the interest of the pack. He is in a vulnerable and dangerous position. That will cause problems for Rory and his father as they try to bring Milan and his family into the pack. At least Rory has his father love, understanding and support. I was amazed by the business end of the pack, and Rory's understanding of what he will inherit one day. I am also impress with how Matt, Topher and Maryanne are working to help Rory.

I was yelling the same thing at you also. Of course I shouldn't have since we are on opposite teams! 😊
