Cheerful flirty barista or Mountain Man neighbor. Tough choice. I liked the easy encounter between Paul and Corbin. Paul is very much a good neighbor, and the sexual tension between the two was well written. I also liked the increase tension surrounding Corbin's flight to safety. Small details, but effective in creating a stronger mystery. Liam sounds like a painful memory of loss. I wonder if it will affect Corbin's thoughts or actions in the future.

You have done a very good job of combining several different elements to entice me with this start. The first is the setting featuring the mountains and forests of the Pacific Northwest. The cabin is a dream house for me. Corbin, of course, a young man surrounded in mystery, running from something, intelligent and resourceful is another draw to the story. Finally, I like the few characters introduced. They are naturally written and reflect the hospitality of a rural community. In short, I'm hooked.

I love the comments in this chapter, as well as the chapter. For what it is worth, I definitely feel that Shannon is a slimy bi.ch. I think she will show up later in the enemy's camp. Trevor is very comfortable with himself, and that includes his wolf. If Trevor's wolf were to express an opinion on a mate, I think the wolf would think of the person first and not the sex of the person. I can easily imagine Trevor finding a mate with either sex. That was the reasoning behind his personal question to Thad and Wade about how they got together. It was good to see that Trevor easily applied his education to quickly pass the test. He's going to be a great asset to the pack.

Marky is so darned cute. I hope he gets to play with James when James visits Dion again. I decided James' innocence was to blame in taking Dion to a movie that included a bloody murder. Otherwise, he would have been cruel. It was great that Roy and Jackie recognized something was wrong, and Roy was able to talk with Dion. As I suspected Dion has little social experience and is having trouble communicating his feelings for James. Now James knows that maybe he can help Dion open up. At least Roy and Jackie had an easier time talking with Dion this time.

Yeah! Congratulations Gary! Sidewinder made it in the top 9 entries. There were a total of 66 entries.

I think Myr said they would be posted later today.

It was an interesting way to leave a contact number. At least there is a chance for another get together.

A very unique story told well. It leaves me wondering how these two lovers arrived at this point.

Colin may be overworked with Richie gone, but he still knows how to make great deals. I can understand Armand being put out by Colin's disappearance, but it all worked out well. Ronnie's game was a great success. I suspect that the coach thought the first string players just were not giving their all. I also want to see how the other college guys are doing.

This delightful short story is custom made for Valentine's Day. It is a quick tale of second chances at first impression for two lonely young men. A few minutes of your time to read the story will put you in the mood for romance.

A very sweet story of second chances at first impressions. A great story for Valentine's Day. I can see why it was nominated for the Readers' Choice poll this month.

The birthday party was a great way to showcase the cameo appearances of characters from past stories. It did seem to go well. Luca snuck into this story without a lot of fanfare, but is a very caring and thoughtful guy. I like how he responds to Sami to talk about being orphans. Dani, Marco and Giaco are still awkward in their joint relationships. I keep waiting for a fourth guy to bond with one of the three. Gianni and Angelo are still as loving as always. I was happy they got to sneak out of the party for some time alone.

Another excellent lesson in writing. I wish my writing teacher in college had given lessons like this.

Chapter 26 Be My Valentine
raven1 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 26 Be My Valentine
Hey Gary, You were right about getting a laugh from this. It sounds like a summary of my love life for my first several decades. Hang in there. I didn't find my soulmate until I was 60 years old. -
Albert, I am sorry to hear about the loss of a sister to Steve and you.

Hey Gary, All your stories listed got my top votes. Hi Clo, I am glad GA allowed us to vote more than once. I couldn't pick just one of Gary's stories, so was happy to be able to pick them all. I know what you mean Bucket! I've got a huge backlog of stories to read now. Howdy Albert! Since you and I have been following those stories, I agree their good, but Malaise is still the best shifter story on GA! Hi Dugh! Maybe you, Bucket and I can arrange to read some of those stories at the same time. It could be fun to comment and react to the chapters we read together.

Madame was a hit with the kids, and the kids were enchanted by her. Armand and Colin will miss Ronnie and Richie for a while, but there little ones will fill in the gaps. I love the idea that the kids in Uncle's House will continue to learn French.

The Sixty-nice was hot! Rusty is beginning to realize that he more than likes what is happening. Jonathon is exactly the one to help Rusty be honest with himself. He helped Jonathon, not is the right time for Jonathon to pay back the debt.

This was a very intense, emotional chapter. Sami's first day at school exposed him to a very unpleasant side of Ravello that hurt the young boy. Gianni was there for him and handled things well. You could see that the wall Sami has built to protect himself is developing cracks as he begins to show trust in Gianni. Sami's bedtime conversation with Gianni shows a breakthrough for Gianni and Sami. Gianni's day showed how concerned and protective they community is of their children, but also Gianni and Angelo. Gianni protected Marco from his father. Marco protected Gianni and Angelo from Marco's father's hateful accusations. Gianni did the right thing by standing up for Marco, and assuring Marco that there were a lot of people who care for Marco. Marco has support of many in the village. He needed to know that. Giaco's mom was great. She understands what is happening with Dani, Giaco and Marco. She also supported Gianni. I thing that Gemma, timid though she may be, will be able to support her son and hopefully help Lorenzo accept his son is gay. The big worry I have is Gianni's first panic attack. Gianni may need professional help.
