Chapter 32: Struggling Shadows
raven1 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 32: Struggling Shadows
This was the biggest laugh for me, but the chapter was filled with some great humor including the shopping trip and the morning in bed with Mason. I agree that Yakob's conversation sounded a ominous, but I will not prematurely think he is dead. If he is dead, he wouldn't be the only shadow shifter to die recently. Aaron could be influenced by that evil queen of cliffies, @kbois! Yakob's conversation also highlighted the fact that Vincent must kill Stefan, as well as the gods' warning that it should be done very soon. The cliffhanger only ratchets up the tension. I expect the next chapter will not provide relief from the rollercoaster ride that has begun. -
Chapter 31: Getting Gelato
raven1 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 31: Getting Gelato
A nice start to the chapter with all the fun stuff like passing the exam, riding in Axel, finding out RJ was dating a human and home to Mason. I wonder if Jake is a bear kindred? 🤔 This explanation by RJ was hysterical! The greeting by Ralph at the gate was OK, but the ride in the shadows to the main house was fun to read because of Ralph's reaction to the ride. Lesha's initial attitude sounded ominous, but things changed so much at dinner. I loved the conversation between Vincent and Marc. There is hope now that Kaplan will be able to reunite with his parents. Cy will be so happy when that happens. He knows the importance of this to Kap. The chapter was filled with love as it flowed smoothly from NYC to the ODCP. -
It is delicious. It is a base potato and leek soup that you can make many variation using other ingredients like bacon or watercress. Served hot it is great for most seasons with its rich creamy flavors. It is also great in summer if it is served slightly chilled.

I've been doing some European foods recently and made Vichyssoise. Had to freeze some because I made too much. Hope it survives the freezer.🤞

@kbois, Have a great vacation! We will be very happy when you return.

Sounds the same to me.

So beautifully written Gary. I appreciate the love and courage it took to express these thoughts so well.

People from Boston, like my neighbor, pronounce the name of the city "Baustin".

A beautifully written, but tragically sad chapter. I'm with the group that says the dream is important and hope that Tyler is finally able to figure out the growls and name. Elijah heard him shout out Boston, but that's what Elijah thought he heard and not necessarily what Tyler said. Both Austin and Ashton are older and it might be Elijah's instinct that is correct. They might still be alive and somehow associated with Kenneman and his sordid business. I think that Tyler and Elijah need to stop by LA and visit Kenneman. This might be related to the two big items Kenneman purchased at the auction.

I love this chapter and how we got to learn more about the kids. I don't know why Elijah had that feeling that they older ones needed to be first. The logic was for the younger ones, but sometimes you need to go by instinct not logic. I do like pairing up Logan and Tyler. Logan must have something very special for Tyler to be attracted to him so quickly. I guess we will find out sometime before the end of the book.

Hi Drew! Nice glitter bomb you dropped. Purple is a beautiful color. Hope you and your family are doing well.
-
Hi Spike! I see that you have been beating Drew to the non-Dugh designated studs. Hope things are going well for you at home and work.

Hey Dugh! Your herd must be quite big by now. I am glad to hear that the work went well this summer for you! Say Hi! to your mum.
-
Hey Bucket! I was happy and impressed by all you did for your dad. I hope you are well and the weather is improving there.

Hi Gary, Seems like you and I have been doing some renovating, although yours is much more difficult and exhausting than mine. Take care.

Hi All! Hope you are all doing good. I will be back to regularly posting here. Take care.

Hi Albert! I have been doing well. I am working on setting my priorities better, so I have a life outside of GA. Check out what I wrote to Clo if you want a complete explanation. Hope you and Steve are doing well. How much longer before the vacation?

Hi Page! We're doing good. I will start to post to CotT2 regularly again. If you look at what I said to Clo, you'll know what I mean. Glad to hear you and your boys are good. Take care.

Hi Clo! Aod and I are doing well. To be honest, I was getting a bit too absorbed in GA as well as doing all the other things I wrote about. After the operations, family visit, and painting the condo, I decided to cut down drastically on reading and commenting on GA for a while. I was spending 8 to 10 hours a day 7 days a week. That's too much. I am getting back to reading, but am cutting down on my comments for now. It gives me time to do things I have put off for a while. I want to learn Thai and how to cook Thai food, but have put those off for years with work and Covid. Then it was the reading at GA. So, next week I am going to sign up for some classes. I'll still check in a lot on CotT2 and you folks, just cut down the reading. I am happy that the neighbor situation will soon be resolved.

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all good.

Great news Clo! The inconsiderate neighbors will be gone in a few weeks. Make sure the manager let's you interview any prospective tenants to make sure they are better neighbors! The manager owes you for all you have put up with those people.

I wonder what Ases felt like after the transit ride. The rebel's plan sounds traitorous, but I don't think we have heard the complete plan yet. It makes me uncomfortable that Timok is in on the plan. It is also not clear if Essell is the one being "turned in to the Kardoval" or whether Ases is included. Bouncer definitely doesn't like the plan. Great cliffhanger Cia!

This poem of raw emotions is a tribute to the strength of the human spirit. It is a tribute to the courage to overcome manipulation, abuse and regain lost freedom.
