Had to laugh at the warning you gave me. You knew I was going to read the story again. So now that I am, I have to say that this chapter was a surprise to me also. I expected a big fight, but thought it would be between Elinor and Tobyn, because I think she is well aware of the feelings between Tobyn and Kellar. Of course Danner and Elinor being Earth Mates was surprising the first time. I should have realized Tobyn's reaction would not be good to this news. He built up his own construct of Earth Mates that was blown away by Elinor and Danver. We already realized that when Tobyn is faced with changes he gets a bit upset and needs some time to process before he can accept the change. This is a huge change for Tobyn. I did like that the hints led me to believe that Kellar was suspecting that he knew something about Earth Mates that had not been told him by the other characters. I enjoyed learning he could tell mates by their matching aura patterns during my first read. I took the time to read some of the other comments from friends, and enjoyed reading those. Another enjoyable chapter, Gary

Hi Page! Glad your weekend went well.
-
Good Morning Drew! Have a good weekend after the AC got fixed?

When I read before, I remember feeling that Tilly would be a major problem. Because I was looking for any signs that she would be antagonistic and hostile to Kellar and possessive of Tobyn's affections, I didn't really overlooked all the evidence of how she really was developed in the last few chapters. I know that changed in the following chapters when I fell in love with the wonderful woman. This read I felt comfortable with Tilly from the introduction and was surprised by the new insights to her I missed the first time. I also was reminded of some of my silly theories. 😲😊 They seem a bit ridiculous in retrospect.

Aod just woke up, so I am heading to bed for some fun. Good night. 😉

Chapter 15 Nothing's Written In Stone
raven1 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 15 Nothing's Written In Stone
The details about Dane and Mace took on greater significance to me this time around. I kind of felt more like foreshadowing. However, the things that gave me the OMG feeling were the comments I exchanged with you. I can't believe how much of a pest I was then. I do know why, however. I was excited to find GA, a place I could read and talk with the author and other readers about the books. That is still one of the best things about GA and I truly love this community. Thanks again, Gary! -
No fun in going to bed. Aod is already asleep. See:

Hi Spike Man, I was wondering where you were at, and going to ask you what you did today. Guess this answers my question. Possums definitely have no business in or around the house and garage. It was great you were able to get rid of it so quickly.
-
Spike Man! What are you up to?
-
HI Page! How has your weekend been?

Hey Drew! Hope your day went well.

Glad you made it here. I think the cache problem can be laid to kbois and her shifter story I'm following. I woke up this morning to find 239 notifications and almost all were because she posted chapter 17 last night! 😜

Hi Clo, I could be inspired by him to do a lot of things also. Just not writing.
-
Hey Bucket! It gets too quiet when they don't get into a spat or twenty in an evening.
-
Hey Gary! Good to hear. I haven't been reading in much today, but still plan on reading a few more chapters in Morningstar before bedtime. Just don't let Drew know I am up passed curfew!😄

Reading this chapter after the talk with Miss Sybil about Earth Mates, made a lot of the details of the chapter stand out. Details a small as the changes in mood and emotions when one walks away or towards the other or larger like the fact they know how each other are feeling. That Tobyn realized he is in love and believes in love at first sight, actually felt bittersweet. Tobyn's talk with Kellar about Earth Mates took on a very different meaning to me. Tobyn does believe in Earth Mates contrary to his statements. I think he knows and understands that Kellar is his Earth Mate. Part of his resistance to acknowledge this connection to Kellar is the dedication to the pack and his agreement with Tilly. What I missed before is Tobyn is more than a little frightened of sealing the bond because of the experiences in the past with the Alpha's mate dying. One other detail that stood out was the end of Tobyn's explanation of shifter history regarding the use of silver to enslave shifter families. Is Kellar any relation to you Gary? Sure sounds a lot like you.

Ahh! The joys of living in a condo. Even if I had a house, it's rainy season here so I couldn't mow the lawn even if I ever wanted to. We would reach the end of time before that happens.

Aloha Albert! Hope you and Steve are doing well. As you can gather from my comments to Clo, I'm signing out for a date with my man. Hope you all have fun tonight!
-
Going to say good night (but not going to bed for quite a while yet). My husband beckons me to get ready for our night out. Have fun everyone!
-
I don't know about about the video, but I got the song! I love it. This is party music not a lullaby. I puts me in just the right mood for tonight's date night with Aod! You are an angel (😇😈) er...almost.

First and foremost, Miss Sybil still remains a stellar character that i love very much. Her powers as a seer may be low compared to when she was young, but she still can see many things with her heart and eyes that others might miss. I can't believe the wealth of clues you gave us in this chapter, Gary. How blind was I? I am falling in love with this story even more deeply than I did when I read if first. I had forgotten why I commented on Tilly's name so had to look it up again. Just the tiniest bit of spoiler or maybe not, but... I hope you don't mind Gary.

I loved this dialogue we had about moms when I first read this story. I still feel the same. I so love this story. I want to binge read again, but don't want to miss all the great details and descriptions I miss during the first read. The observations made by Elinor in this chapter were something I just glossed over the first read. It is funny how in retrospect they take on a different cast.

Chapter 11 Dangerous Territory
raven1 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 11 Dangerous Territory
The healing was beautifully written with dramatic intensity. I noticed a few things I had not the first read. First was Tilly's comment about tales of shifter healers in the past. That means that Kellar is not a freak of nature, but one of a small group of shifters with that talent. The second was that Tobyn can smell a change in Kellar's scent as he heals where Tilly cannot. It was a feel good moment for me when Kellar realized that "love at first sight" was real. I think Tobyn feels the same, but will have a more difficult time with it because of his feelings for Tilly. -
Rowing and sailing I can see. I love snorkeling, downhill and water skiing, but will respectfully disagree with the surfing and scuba diving. They frighten the s..t out of me.
