Hi Dugh! Great to have you back!
-
Both my mom and dad taught me that any man who was violent to a lady (or man) was definitely not a man. He was a subpar human beast at best. They didn't like ladies who slapped either.
-
Would either of them ever actual use the word 'rape'? I have my doubts. If Clem doesn't know it was rape or says that, then he is a very uneducated young man. There was no clearer definition of rape than what Clem experienced. Nathan is a rapist of the worst sort. He's on the same level as a date rapist who uses drugs to subdue the victim. As a teacher, I can tell you this is taught carefully, but emphatically to students from puberty onwards in most of the USA. The only exception might be religiously controlled states where religion seems to think rape should not be spoken about. Ever wonder why they think rape should not be talked about?

Thank you Geemeedee. I think Nate will find some time to have a good look around his own head and realise that the other guy is not worry his worry or his tears. ??????? Do you mean that Clem will find out that Nate is not worthy his worry or tears?

Be careful what you wish for @kbois. Moving from place to place is a lot of work. We don't want to stress you so much you can't get your real job done as a writer. Just a little change in posting times. And don't tell us its a problem, we all know you can set it without more than a twist of the wrist. You do know how to twist things, correct?

Nathan was a bit better this chapter, but I still think Clem deserves a great deal more than Nathan. That Clem wants more than Nathan seems willing to give, does not bode well for their future together. Clem needs someone who is not just loving, but caring. He wants to feel like the relationship is mutual and equal. Nathan is so one sided in the relationship that I don't think he is what Clem needs or wants, yet. I guess we will see in future chapters whether or not Nathan can change.

I caught the British vocabulary, but not that Sasha was female. Very observant @Will Hawkins!

You hooked me with Clem. He's the perfect kind of cowboy. Too bad his parents don't think cowboys are can be gay. He has a great deal of respect for humans no matter how different they are. Big plus is he loves his horse and dog. Nathan is definitely not nice, even if he acknowledges he is gay. He sounds like a closeted homophobe. He is also arrogant, self center and an asshole. He has a great guy like Clem, but treats Clem more like his personal property than someone he loves. I grew up in the 50's and 60's in a home full of love. However, we also went to church in the Southern Baptist church, Methodist church and finally the Mormon church. I lived in farm country in the West close to a small town with farming, logging and indigent construction workers. I had all the programing and biased attitudes that Nathan had except home life. I never felt like Nathan did about other gays who weren't supernaturally male studs. Nathan must be a victim of some very bad and probably abusive parenting. I'll reserve my judgement on him. He may look like Clem's twin, but Nathan right now is a total turn off, while Clem is a super turn on.

I like the first chapter. However, I'm going to stop here for a while. You see there are many comments from people I respect indicating that there is a story I need to read first. I'll find it immediately and start there. Then, I'll be back. You can bet your bottom dollar on it!

@Fantasyboy69 Just to let you know, your stories will be added to any future recommendations I make of shifter stories. This has been a very entertaining series. The characters with all their idiosyncrasies are lovable and fun. I especially love the snarky dialogue.

Hi @Headstall's Morningstar: The Malaise is still my favorite! Number one of all the shifter stories. I honestly can't believe I forgot to list this in my recommendations to tippysmom. I am very embarrassed. It is on my list for a reread along with Exes and Ohs. There have been a lot of new shifter stories that I got caught up in, and I blame that on Morningstar. I usually didn't read shifter stories before that. I just check out the reviews to make sure I had left mine. It was there, but what really surprised me was there are a total of 38 reviews! I've never seen that many on any of the stories I have read, Gary! Congratulations.

Thanks for the recommends. I don't have any problem with sex in any form. If the sex bothers me (like heavy BDSM) I just skip past that part. To me it is the story that counts. I am not familiar with wattpad, but will check it out online. Thanks again, Terry

OMG Gary's going to kill me! This is my favorite shifter story, and the first one I read on GA. 😲

Phases of Moon is a very well written romance, adventure, and has enough hidden secrets and evil to make it a first class mystery. It is binge worthy, but you might miss some of the cleverly hidden clues. The characters are multidimensional and engaging. Jimmy is a wolf associated with a pack run by Alpha Fergus. His job in the pack is to kill feral wolves. He does this very well, but regrets that he has to do this task. Sawyer is a married human who has been bitten, and it is Jimmy's job to kill him. Instead, Jimmy hides Sawyer which leads to a great many dangerous challenges, betrayals, blackmail, broken promises and revelations that will horrify you and/or astonish you. There is both love and humor to balance out the darker side of the tale. An awesome read.

Hey tippysmom, I accidentally found another story I had forgotten. It's another great story on GA, but I forgot to review it. I'm taking care of that now. It is Phases of the Moon by @Mann Ramblings.

I wonder how Zoel was able to sneak into the test like that. He seems to have someone powerful on his side that doesn't want Rafe to demonstrate his full powers. Unfortunately for Zoel, all he did was make Rafe look even better. The new vamp character actually sounds like an OK guy. It was fun to see how Rafe developed a new skill, as well as focus his rage on breaking the steel plate. The conversation with Zoel seems to have Zoel rethinking some things about himself and his team. I would like to see if that has any impact in the future.

I think you should use Thai time. It's only 15 hours to Wednesday.

Hi Albert! Hope your day was a great one. 😄

Hi Gary! That is great news about your muse and new story.

Hey Spike, In regards to hotties wearing plaid, refer to Clo. First time I tried to claim a hottie in plaid, she sent me a list of rules. Of course Drew never follows them, except the Plaid Rule. Even Drew is afraid of Dughlas! I am not sure, but since we all miss dugh I think Gary is purposely posting a lot of plaid hotties. It's the perfect bait to get our dugh back. ❤️

Hi tippysmom, Thanks for the recommends. I always appreciate getting these, because I read so much. I haven't heard about craftingmom's books so will definitely check those out. I loved Rob Colton's Timberpack books, and will check out Literotica for more. @astone2292 has written two books in his In the Shadow series and is posting a third book currently. @kbois is currently writing her second book in the Hybrid Journey series, and has some great shifters from other species. @WolfM has a great series called Running with the Pack. @Grumpy Bear has written 5 books in his Werebears in America and is in the planning stage for his 6th book. His books have werebears as the main character (a variety of species) plus some amazing wolves and other species in supporting roles. He also has a discussion club/blog on GA. Finally @Cia has written her Carthera Tales series. Cia has included many different species that are rarely seen in shifter stories. All of these were delightful reads for me that I highly recommend. As you said, you may have already read some of these, but I hope you may find some that are new to you. Please write any time you feel like sharing. Terry PS. I almost forgot. @Yeoldebard has written many stories about Neko' as well as othe shifter stories.

Chapter 1 - The First One
raven1 commented on James Matthews's story chapter in Chapter 1 - The First One
Luke is a very complex person, even for a teenager. I had a lover that did suffer from panic attacks and know how horrendous something like this can be for someone. I know all doctors are not the same, and hope that Luke will find the right doctor to help him deal with this problem. Your writing has created a character that is engaging and his need compelling. I look forward to learning more about him. -
Splinter is a perfect ending the the Homestead Pride series. The war drums announce a major conflict in the Lycan world that pits family and friends against family and friends. Alpha Jon is head of the forces that include many different packs and species in an all out assault on the forces lead by the monstrous leader of the East Coast Pack and his allies. Jon has many resources, some of which he doesn't even know about. His problem is to destroy Angus, the monstrous Alpha with as few deaths as possible. Written with the same excitement and fun, this tale of magic and evil has a lot of unexpected turns and surprises, but satisfies the readers soul at the end. A great read, but start with the first book in the series to appreciate it fully.
