  1. Hi Drewsome!
  2. Hi Froggy! What's the next verse?
  3. Hi Albert! Mountains are the best places for snow to pile high! For both your and Steve's sakes I hope it stays there until needed next summer.

    Chapter 8

Michael singing for his mom was a very emotional time for me too. It took many readings before my eyes stopped misting up. Harry's new circumstances made this old man feel very good. We all should have people like the boys in our lives.

Great comment, @Cane23. Craig has a history of creating characters that reflect reality and not the usual cliches you mentioned.

    Chapter 22

    Probably one of Snape's proteges.

    Chapter 22

That's exactly why I bought the popcorn. You better deliver, young lady!

    Chapter 22

I stocked up on popcorn already. It's hard to grab a front-row seat nowadays. The cue is so damned long, and all the sneaky petes here trying to cut in line doesn't leave me with the hope of grabbing one of those seats.

    Chapter 22

Asa had this one right. Huntington's hate will be his undoing. I'm glad the planning went well and didn't put Vann at risk. Enya, that little darling, is scarier than hell! Cassiel came through, and it wouldn't surprise me if the only reason the Fae King granted permission was because he could get his jollies watching from the sidelines. Huntington thinks he is clever by dividing his troops to sneak them in. Fortunately, he is less clever than he thinks. I am looking forward to Sebastien's troops taking the kitty litter to the dump. Same for the dead gator monsters. Go, Enya!
  10. You asked some excellent questions. The answer to the first two, IMO, is to recognize each child learns differently and give them different ways to learn and show what they have learned is a manner that fits them. The answer to the third question is complicated. Korea is one of the highest ranking in the world, but it is probably because their alphabet is purely phonetic, block letters, and the grammar doesn't use different word forms. I do hope you get the opportunity to teach abroad. It is very rewarding.
  11. I'll skip the streaking in the snow.

    Chapter 22

I made the first page of comments. Wow, who'd of thought? Do I get a prize? Now I can read the chapter.

    Chapter 8

Thanks, @Summerabbacat. Coming from you, it is a great compliment and means a lot to me. Like @Mancunian, you and I have crossed paths in the comments of other stories. The clarity and insights of your comments have impressed me and garnered my respect. Your comment about grandparents' and grandchildren's relationships in this story is a case in point. Your further comments about Max and Stacy are also very true. I believe you may approve of what will happen in the story. I'm excited that you have decided to read this story. As to the singers mentioned, we apparently have similar tastes in female singers.

    Chapter 8

Should I cue up "Love Is In The Air" @Cane23? You are 💯 percent right. Stacy and Max are trying to do their very best to give both brothers a chance to restart their lives. I also agree that Michael's performance may be the start of their healing. The tears they shed together as they held each other at the song's end is a great sign that you are correct.

    Chapter 8

Just wait, you two young'uns. Overly protective kids will eventually get on your nerves, resulting in a bad case of grumps and crankiness.

    Chapter 8

I bet if you asked Harry, as stubborn and independent as the old mule is, he'd probably insist he can do it himself. I just love this irascible character. Of course, it could be the narcissist in me that's behind my comment.

    Chapter 8

This beautiful song applies to me as a youth and now in my later years. It also applies to both of my parents, whom I miss so much.
  18. Got it @Joie J.! Hey @J.El! No offence intended. You are so unlike and much better than your stinky boyfriend. I'm sure after a few years of tutoring Connor he may become a very good villain. 😉
  19. Is there such a thing as a 'good' villain? 🤔 I guess if you compare him to Draco Mallfoy he might be an adequate villain. Good-looking, sneaky, and woefully ineffective don't make for high-quality villains. Besides, what is intriguing about a pile of S.H.I.T.? The only danger is stepping on him.

You get an A for effort, but the only correct answer I can confirm is the .
  21. Fortunately for my brother, and the school, that didn't happen. Mom would have left the school in shambles if they ever touched any of us kids. When Mom was in 4th grade, a teacher slapped her over the ear. Mom was deaf in that ear for the rest of her life.
  22. The small town near me and where I lived my first years had elementary, middle, and high school libraries, plus the town library. The school's attendance area was over 100 sq. miles, and the only other town near it was 30 miles away. Thus, there is a need for that many libraries. My family moved to a town 3 times as large when I went to high school. There were only 3 libraries there. I was very lucky.
  23. Hi Page! How are you, Max and Morgan? Speaking of Morgan, I found a great frog repellant for sale online in Thailand. Interested? Also, Switzerland is OK, but there are better places to see the mountains. Also, skiing is very dangerous for Max, considering his love of dance.
  24. Yes, Unfortunately, my brother had the same problem. Like Gary, he was also left-handed. Between these two, his teachers spent more time 'breaking' Tom's bad habits than teaching him.
  25. I don't think I would even call her a librarian. She sounds more like a power-hungry controller of books. I loved the wonderful librarians in my youth who would let me check out about the same amount of books each visit, with no weekly limits imposed.
