Brad and Charlie make a handsome pair, but they are at the lust-at-first-sight stage. It would be great if they get the chance to see if they have something more in common. I had to giggle when you mentioned Aunt May's Charlie. I suffered from the same confusion. Also, Stacy and Max are the perfect contrasting couple that complement each other very well.
The title of this story says it all on many levels. It is an excellent story of love and family. I agree with the other reviewers. This is a must-read story!
This is a beautiful, sad Christmas story, Bill. Writing this was a very brave thing, but it is a wonderful reminder that the quality of life is much more important than how long the life is lived. Eric's life was filled with the love of his two fathers and many friends. His note shows he never took that love for granted.
You got me in the feels with this chapter, Gary. Jubal had made some steps forward, but the large, attentive crowd got him feeling skittish. It twisted Jubal's thinking by the time he visited Lucas. Despite what Lucas and Reid discussed with him, he interpreted what they said incorrectly. I decided to use the actions of the wildings to prepare myself for Jubal's following mood and actions. They must sense what he's thinking before he does.
This a wonderful life story of a young man who grows and develops under the guidance of his grandmother's spirit. It is filled with love and adventure as it tells of the amazing family he and his love create. There are many chapters, but it is easy to read. I highly recommend this story.
I'll gladly read all your Featured Story articles over listening to you two bicker. Not that I mind the arguments at first; those can be fun and interesting. It's the final degradation of the argument to one-word shouting matches. Give me your great articles anytime!
Thanks, Bill! I appreciate the vote of confidence. You are right that the stories are self-contained and interactive. I've read and enjoyed all of The Boot Universe stories, but not in order.
A great review to end the year, @spike382! Aunt Mae's Magic is one of @Mancunian's small short story gems. He also has other longer stories, and the newest one you mentioned, "What Happened to the Baxter Boys", is my current favourite.
What starts out as a great sibling relationship is tragically changed by a fear-driven silence resulting in a rivalry that hurts both brothers. I loved the theme of reconciliation that results from an act of courage. This is a well-written story worthy of the time you will take to read it.
Thank you for this beautiful story filled with so much love. I've enjoyed reading each chapter. I would be very pleased to write a review, so I hope you take @weinerdog's advice and click the 'Complete' button for this story unless you plan to add an epilogue. Again, thank you so much!
