Hi Drew! Sawasdee Khrup 🙏 Have you had breakfast yet?
-
Except for the jealous Thorin and his bitch fit, this was a fun chapter. Also, it was nice of Brandon and the Parker Valley pack to help Dainen gain some self confidence and respect. I enjoyed the tour and was glad Brandon got to do some of the things he wanted to do. I hope he and his husband get to come back soon together. I agree that Brandon needs to have another talk with his wolf.

Hot sex scene. Some very interesting suggestions for the future. I am still concerned about the Air Elemental that still out there.
-
Like Ethan, I was surprised by this new Elemental and her work to make the fire worse. It just didn't follow what we learned in Running With the Pack. I really don't like conspiracies also, but WolfM still has to explain the foot steps running away from the conflict when Brandon was hurt. I am glad Ethan saved Brandon (and the author didn't take several chapters to get the job done), but it did seem both Ethan and Brandon were at the very edge. Nice to see that Brandon's sense of humour has returned. I do wonder why his wolf is so quiet.
-
Said the guy who killed off the main character several chapters before the end of the book. At least you had the decency to bring him back for the epilogue. So there are more Elementals out there? I too want to know why she was burning the continent. Also, is she the only Elemental currently in OZ besides Aiden and Ethan? Brandon is one amazing guy. As for your writing, I am enjoying the dialogue these guys keep having. It is more fun to read them flirting and teasing, than a huge description of sex every chapter like some authors write.
-
I also want to comment on this chapter. I am encouraged that Brandon and his wolf are really talking together and learning more about each other. It is a great step for healing both aspects of Brandon. They still seem very distinct from each other at this point, but now there is hope that they will be able to work together. I also liked the way they plotted about how they were going to surprise their husband. It is also fun to see All Flash and Scrappy are getting together well. I do enjoy their nicknames for each other.

I haven't commented on firefighters since other comments are doing a great job covering that. However, this chapter demanded it as our wolf group was fighting to save a town. Firefighters risk their lives to protect others in the community. They are brave beyond belief. The reason this struck so close to home for me is that 2020 was a bad fire year in the West. I have two nephews (brothers) that are firefighters who battled the Almeda Fire in the Rogue Valley. This is the Jackson Public Radio's description of the fire: Here's an aerial picture of Phoenix, Oregon after the fire. Three people died. I am in awe of my nephews and other like them that risk so much for their communities every day of their lives.

Best line in the chapter: I did love the laughs in this chapter! I am beginning to think WolfM is setting us up for a big surprise. Did anyone recognise the similarities between Ethan and Brandon besides their size? They are both sexually abused as youth, yet became good men dedicated to help others. Their first shifts were to the hybrid followed by lupus. Also, Ethan has trouble with his water powers which he usually has control over the best. His problem seems to be with wind in this chapter. Brandon's hostility could be interfering with Aiden's power. Especially if Brandon is a wind Elemental. Just going out on a walkabout here. Looking forward to what's next. PS I notice that Trevor still is being treated poorly by the author. I have a suggestion. Wearing the masks and heavy smoke in the air keeps Trevor and Lachlan from noticing each other's scent. When the air clears, they take off the masks and wash up, they discover their true mate in each other. I think it would be a great laugh that two heterosexuals have to deal with a change in sexual orientation. Trevor's invisibility would be solved.

I like that the marine connection was able to get Brandon and Cody started on a good conversation. Now they can all work together fighting the fire, not each other. I don't think that Ethan was unable to stop the hail, it does take a while for the conditions to revert to normal. It take large hail at least 1-2 minutes to fall to the ground once they stop cycling and building. They can reach a speed of 90 MPH during the fall.
-
Brandon's big mouth without a filter is very funny. He'll get a reprimand, and then Ethan will win him over. I don't blame the Mutt's for feeling upset about saving the homes of the privileged at the expense of many others in need. However, Alpha Brody is privileged and they homes in the area are his family's homes. His motive might be to demonstrate to the other Australian leaders his trust in the Parker Valley group by putting not only his territory on line, but also his family. Looking forward to the fun meeting of the Mutts with Aiden's gang.

An exhausting hike to get to the bottom of the canyon. With all the descriptions of the firemen and the canyons beauty, I got distracted and went on a google image search. Found great pictures of both. 😉

Wow! That sounds like a great day. I bet Mum really enjoyed getting out with you and spending some time in the sun.
-
Gee, I don't know whether to say oooh you're so sweet, or awww you're no fun. Just hope your day was good
-
Good news! The best news is that Brandon is now negotiating with his wolf. Also good is that Ethan, Aiden and their gang will start their Australian visit with the Mutts. I am sure it will be successful, but brief if it is successful. The Parker Valley group will end up spending some time touring throughout Australia. I am anxious to see how their group interacts with the Mutts.

Lucas is a perspective and empathic big brother. Brandon trusts him enough to tell him all of his story. Brandon's wolf was wise and tried to talk some sense into Brandon. With the support of his crew, especially Lucas, Jaxon and Noah, maybe Brandon can start to accept his wolf. I enjoy when we get these insights into how characters think as they establish different relationships. Great chapter.

That burn over was something else. Imagining the dead roo described almost made me sick too. I was happy that Brandon was able to save the koala and its joey. I admire the firefighters in Australia who went out of their way during the terrible fires that year to save the wildlife. It seems a lot has happened in the short time Brandon has been in Australia. Now he has to worry about his husband.
-
Your description of this hell fire gives new meaning to trial by fire. That was Brandon's first day. He definitely proved his worth to his crew and demonstrated he was there for them. I don't think there will be any more doubts left in the minds of anyone.
-
Hi Drew, This is sad news. Try to focus on all the good memories.
-
Lucas is a very entertaining character and banter with Brandon bring out the best in each other. I like the way they tease each other. Lucas seems to be empathetic an provides Brandon with a reassurance that he will back Brandon if the need arises. I like the fact that Brandon easily proved he knows what to do, and the story can get right to the action of fighting the fire. That last sentence is ominous and creates a bit of a cliffhanger, but WolfM has created a lot of these over the series. This is just a small one compared to some of the monster cliffhangers he has written. (Please refer to Dorian's death to see one that lasted several chapters.)

Enjoying the here and now
raven1 commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Enjoying the here and now
Some great bits of humour in this chapter. I loved Aido mashing potatoes. I would have been great if Loe had video taped it and sent it out to his fans. And there were Loe's DMs Jay being sneaky, twice in the morning. Of course the best laugh is with Mr Potato's invasion. Thanks for all the great laughs I got out of this chapter.- 55 comments

Hi Albert Sawasdee Khrup 🙏
-
Sorry to cause you a dilemma Bucket. I guess Clo was right.

Merida had a lot to say to Jevikel that was of great consequence. First and foremost was her telling him about his parents and why their lives were so sad together. It explained a lot about the family dynamics that shaped Jevikel's life. Merida was also kind enough to let Jevikel know she knows of his love for Kadin and approves. Jevikel and Kadin are now mentally and emotionally free to leave the hold. They do need to prepare for the trip and start it as soon as possible. Finally it is time to leave the village for a new life together. It is sad that Jemina's life was both short and unhappy in love.

Brandon's crew are a fun bunch of wolves plus one sarcastic lion. I like them and know that Brandon has a lot in common with them. I like the reference to the CJ series. I read many of Carlos' books on another sight before landing on GA. The dialogue was very realistic and flows well. The reference to rape obviously upset Brandon, because his rape during his first unexpected shift lead to Brandon murdering his three rapists.

I am doing fine. The heat here is a bit much, but I thankfully got new aircons that keep me cool. Orange, my little feline girl, also likes to look at birds in the nearby trees. I don't think she is listening to the music as much as fantasising about having them over for a snack. Aod and I had friends over last night for drinks and that went well. Otherwise I have not been doing much today other than reading shifter stories here on GA.
