Ethan is a "normal" boy if you discount his being thrown out by his parents at the age of 15 and surviving on his own on the streets of the city. As he reaches his 18th birthday he decides to get away and hike in the mountains. With little or no money he survives quiet well in the wilderness and enjoys some free time reading the few fantasy books he treasures about his favourite animals, dragons and wolves. Aiden is a young man on a campout for young wolf shifters who show leadership. Michael the alpha's son and arch-rival of Aiden is also on the campout. Ethan feels like he is being followed for a few days, but doesn't see any one until a very large and beautiful black wolf appears and frightens him. The wolf keeps coming back and eventually the two become companions. Unfortunately, some of the other wolves find out and decide to attack Ethan. His friend defends him, but Ethan is hurt. When Ethan awakens, he finds himself with a giant bear of a doctor who tells him he will be OK. In a few days Ethan again returns to hiking the forests and mountains, but misses his big black wolf. He does remember that in his injured fog after the attack that his friend seemed to become a human and talk to him. Thus this adventure begins. This is a wonderful tale of love, loyalty, family and amazing adventures. The plot is compelling and fluid, but filled with complexity and interesting details. It covers many different ideas and problems that the author takes time to flesh out, but leaves for readers to discuss in the comments. Fast paced chapters of action and anxiety are often preceded or followed by magnificent chapters of love and healing. Descriptions of many places are soaringly beautiful, or hideous. Characterisations are also complex in diversity and depth whether villain or hero. If you are an adrenaline junky this novel is probably not your style. If you enjoy thinking, imagining and exploring then this is one of the great books on GA. WolfM is a talented writer and is one of my favourite writers on GA. Carlos Hazday has edited and is the beta for this story. There is no better recommendation than know that!

I vote for kids, either adopted solving some of the problems caused by JP or by the in vitro surrogate mother that volunteer after the big rescue. She would probably want to help them even more now. Another great chapter filled with the love of family.

A beautiful chapter with such attention to details. The preparation for the wedding was amazing and filled with some very funny dialogue. I thought it was important that the unique nature of an Elemental marrying a powerful Lycan was attended by a diverse and international group. It was a great time to introduce the dragons! I am looking forward to the reception with the dragon dance.

The conference chapters were like a rollercoaster ride. This ending chapter was a nice balance to all the tension and emotions involved in eliminating the corruption and creating a new Lycan Council. There are many avenues available to continue this story in its completion, and also for some new books. I do love this story and the characters you have created. I would like to know what's going on with Trevor and maybe get to know him better. Also, I came to really like Dorian and want to know what is happening with him and his pack.

The hike was a very good start to the chapter, but the real important aspect was Ethan's healing of the young wolf. It showed his regard for life, and balanced the execution he performed. It looks like the new Lycan government as a good basis to build upon. Very nicely written. I wasn't once bored as I read the chapter. You do a great job of describing the wonders of nature WolfM.

A dry as dirt political scene was anything but dry. Great job of adding humour and interest into a subject that normally no one likes, politics. Dorian is definitely changed. Now that he has, I am much more sympathetic to him and wonder if the sour smell he had at first is still there. Did or does he have some medical problem that caused the smell? Did shaking hands and fighting with Ethan have some affect other than to deflate his ego? Does Dorian still need to be healed? I did love the humour of this chapter. Also, want to say that Dorian's pack may be in for many surprises when he returns home. I hope we get an update on those changes I am sure he will make.

Ethan's fight was vividly described. Ethan should teach some of his moves to his enforcers. The alpha council session was impressive. I had no problem picturing the flaming hybrids flanking Alpha Stockdale. Their presence ensured that the Lycan Council was kept from taking over violently to stop John before he could present his evidence of the council's crimes. I didn't expect the entire council (except the clerk) to be in the conspiracy. That's beyond rotten to the core. As for punishment I vote for seizing the assets to help victims and the death penalty for all.

Very quiet. I am enjoying it, since the house is usually filled with the sounds from the TV (screams or arguements), music (OK for most, but Ouch for some) and a husband that loves to tease me every chance he gets. How has your day been?

Unless the writer is Julia Child, I am not sure the recipe is good just because the writer is good. Notice he said Eat it, not enjoy it.

JP told an interesting story to the Park Valley Pack, and John has left the decision to Aiden whether JP should live or die. When compassion vs law, where does justice fall? JP has two very different personalities while still being sane. He acts like he wants to end the life of the rogue alpha, but is that sincere or just an act. Aiden has a lot riding on his decision. I think Aiden needs to delay the decision until he sees what happens in the summit of alphas. Who will JP support and how will he demonstrate that support. I like the introduction of the new characters who are able to share their experiences of being joint alphas who are gay. The different points of view on how they make things work is great advice and a source of support for Aiden and Ethan. The asshole who caused Ethan to issue a challenge will hopefully get his ass kicked when they spar. Wonderful chapter that builds the tension for the confrontation with the council.

I love the playfulness of this chapter. The jockstrap trail was highly arousing, with an undertone of humour. The change of name of the pack as well as acceptance of two new lycans of different species felt so good. The pack's diversity is its strength in a changing world. I hope they can do the same for the council once they get rid of the rot. Aiden and Ethan deserve the honour of designate alphas and will provide the continuity and leadership to take this pack far into the future. I so enjoy this story. It is in the top echelon of shifter stories on GA.
