Hi @Backwoods Boy! How are things in the PNW? I do hope you have some stories lined up to send us readers. I have to say that Jason is a very delightful mischief-maker and a good friend to Charlie and Michael. There's a lot more fun ahead to look forward to.
I'm glad to see you here @CincyKris! Your comments are always well thought out and often prescient. However, at the risk of being covered in duct tape by Craig, I must . Welcome aboard!
You're so diplomatic, Chris. My reaction when I read this was filled with a lot of profanity! I'm glad to see you here, my friend. When I get some free time, I've got a lot of catch-up reading planned for your stories.
I have to make many trips to the kitchen for snacks as I edit for Man. I also had the same reactions to the two scenes you mentioned. Since Craig likes to keep us riding an emotional rollercoaster, I advise a trip to the store to stock up on snacks and tissues.
Hi @JohnnyC! I knew I should have left the answer to the master. I did like your comment and agree that Charlie probably does feel like he has won the lottery after all the money problems he has faced after his mom died. I think Harry also will benefit from his talk with Stacy. If he gets to meet some of his son's friends, he will probably learn about a part of his son's life he didn't know before.
Hey Gary, You are very right about Craig's ability to pull at the heartstrings. No spoiler, but there's one scene in one of the next few chapters that had me crying the first several times I read it. I still get misty-eyed after reading the chapter at least 15-20 times now. I'm glad you like the family. Their loving and funny bantering adds a lot of fun to the story.
It's difficult for me to understand how an educated professional can act like this. I haven't had a doctor act like this, but I personally know a very powerful lawyer in the US who is exactly like this. His fundamentalist views often override his social skills.
Hey, Gary. How are things going for you and your family? That cough sounds like it is lingering, but hopefully, it will be gone soon. Get some rest, and with it being so cold up north, I suggest you get your son to look for a Christmas tree if you get one this year. 😄
Hey Frogman! I hope you are ready for the weekend. You are right. Clo is a very cheeky fairy. I'm sure the trait has developed after years of defending herself from her cheeky twin in Texas.
Albert and Man have both had me demanding to be fed more over the last two weeks! How is the weather in your part of the world?
Hi Man, I just checked out the comments for the Baxter Boys. They are awesome. You've worked hard and have a lot of chapters ahead. Take time to relax and rest this weekend.
You are way ahead of me! I want to decorate the house with lights, but I am limited when it comes to any plant decorations other than poinsettia plants. Fake plastic plants used here for decorations are just gross!
Hi Page! One thing I miss here is going to the library. From early youth up to moving to Thailand, the library was almost a weekly appointment to meet with librarians who became friends. Funny you should mention the lost filling. I lost one a few weeks ago to eating crispy pork. As for the bourbon-pecan bars, they would make great Christmas gifts for all of us on CotT2. Hint, hint. I wish the best for Max's ballet troupe. I'm sure it will be a great performance.
Hi Albert! I'm constantly hungry between reading about food in Man's new story and your usual food posts. My freezer is stuffed after the last two weeks of being inspired by both of you. That Kalamata cheesecake looks so yummy! I'm going to ruin my keyboard if I don't stop drooling over it soon.
Ouch! I'm more like a "comma" nazi. Commas show where people pause in speaking, but rules that guide the written use of commas don't match how people speak naturally. I usually get rid of half the commas in the dialogue.
