Greg impressed the judge with his maturity, knowledge and professional behaviour. The trips to the banks were proof positive that Greg and Scott both have these qualities and can successfully apply them to their business ventures. Like other comments, I was impressed when he demonstrated his trust in Lisa and made sure she would manage his accounts. His reward will not only be her loyalty but also her motivation to work hard on his behalf to live up to Greg's expectations.
The Fates were not kind as they wove the boys' story in the beginning. It's nice to see the changes they are now weaving for them. Given your great reference to Greek mythology, let me continue a bit. Expect the Muses to make their presence felt in the future. That all I can say.
(See Craig. I can comment without spilling the beans.)
Brad may be smitten or simply extremely horny, but Charlie probably hasn't thought about sex much since the death of his mother. I think the kiss must have shocked him. He is also still worried about Michael. Stacy does seem to be trying to arrange something for Charlie, but that's very much up in the air. Charlie is still feeling a bit desperate and may try to get the first job he can find.
Greg is in a quandary, and I wouldn't want to be him. His decision will either cause him to split with long-time friends, or trust completely in them and tell them the truth which could endanger them all. It also brings up the question of how he will handle the same problem with his dad. I learned some interesting things about this new AU you have created. Good chapter.
My mom caught my younger brother peeing in the refrigerator when he was 9 years old. It was a family story that lived on for decades. He used to tease me often, so when I had enough, I would threaten to tell his current girlfriend. I never delivered on the threat, he really was my best friend growing up.
Ah, sweet youth (it's wasted on the young). I have been there and done that for 59 years before I got the heck out and moved here. Just remember I did encourage you to do international teaching and move somewhere much warmer. It is the folly of youth to not listen to the wisdom of their elders.
True story. The kids I taught here thought I was an idiot wearing short sleeves while they were bundled up in heavy winter coats, wool scarves, boots, hats and gloves. The temperatures in the morning were around 75 F, and they thought that it was freezing. The zoo has a Snow Dome with artificial snow for kids to play in and a long icy slope for sledding.
This chapter was worth the wait. I do hope you feel better and regain your strength again soon @kbois. I can only imagine a flight like that. I get exhausted on long plane flights, but cannot sleep. A wolf pacing back and forth in my brain throughout the flight is a dreadful thought. Their arrival at the castle was good; everything was well arranged for their welcome. The three young wolves' background story was heartbreaking. Corbin is definitely doing a great job at calming these youngsters. It will be nice if he gets rewarded for his work by Willa. In spite of kbois' protests, I think it is possible that Marcel might return to the USA with Corbin. Great chapter!
I love quilts. One of the most unusual I have seen was a denim quilt made for my boyfriend by his mother. The material was collected from the jeans of his family members that his mother recycled into the quilt.
Working retail as a teen, I didn't enjoy it at all. You have my sympathy, Nick. If you get the chance, read some of astone's short stories about working retail. There are some good laughs about his customers from hell.
