The drivers, especially Jacob, are getting very close to Joseph, Ian and Kevin. I really liked how Jacob made sure Joseph also got a ride on his shoulders when he left the zoo. I hope that Ian's idea will help the situation if there are any problems.
Manny bonded with Joseph deeply, and Joseph's learning that Manny felt the same for Ian and Kevin made bonding with them easy. Ian and Kevin's loving nature was probably also a big factor in Joseph's quick bonding with the two young men.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that needed tissues. Manny rescued Joseph and helped Ian and Kevin. I wonder how many other lives were affected by his legacy.
Ian and Kevin's meeting with Joseph was very touching. I had to use the tissues by the end when Joseph got so excited when he realised that Ian and Kevin wanted to be his brothers.
I agree that the ongoing conflict has created a situation so awful that even with need to rescue so many children, it is impossible to do just that. I am happy that you referenced "Lost Soul". There is background information on The Major in that story that makes this story and The Boot, Three Years On much more meaningful.
I enjoyed reading your comment @Anton_Cloche. My favourite part of this chapter was the meeting between Ox and three of his comrades. Your comment ties in well with your comment in the prior chapter. I also like the information you added about the complications of Israeli adoption laws as well as those of the Palestinians. I learned some new facts.
I'm glad Kevin got things set up in the UK and for the trip to Israel. Ian getting things set up so the business continues was also a great help. I agree that booking in business class would be beneficial. They are probably under a lot of stress, worrying about what will happen when they arrive. They don't need the extra stress of fighting airport queues and waiting for baggage.
