    Epilogue

Hi @drsawzall! Personally, I am very pleased that a friend and great author like you has supported the story all along and left great comments. I do like the Mini, but want a Triumph of my own. Sorry about the onions. I'll make sure there is an onion warning in future stories.

    Epilogue

Hey, @Cane23. The world can be cruel, especially for the homeless. I love how Craig's stories both describe this world and demonstrate how a helping hand up leads to changes for those who have lost hope. Craig doesn't just write about this; he also does it in real life. It's why the stories are so realistic and emotional. I am pleased that you contributed your support and comments!

    Epilogue

I agree, @chris191070. Craig did a great job of ending this story perfectly. Even with all the crying I did, even at the end, I loved the happy feeling I had at the end.

    Epilogue

I loved the reference to Cagney and Lacey also, @Headstall. I suspect that was the show Emma was watching when Harry and Janice arrived with the puppies.
  5. This is a sweet tale of romance spiced with a bit of paranormal. Can cats be guardian spirits, or maybe Cupid in disguise? This is a quick story with great returns of warm fuzzy feelings.

    Chapter 1

I love a good romance and appreciate the extra pinch of paranormal as seasoning. Thanks, Chris! This story hit the spot.
  7. Dinner sounds great. It's my kind of comfort meal. The clip for Boys Swallows the Universe was interesting, and I loved the last line about the skinhead. I have found from my teaching experiences that a conversation between parents and kids after something like this is often enlightening. Don't be surprised if Max says something surprisingly profound.
  8. This is a delightful story of an intergenerational family built on the love of two gay men. When you finish the story, your heart will feel warm and content.

    Enlightenment

I enjoyed reading this tale, Chris. I wish that there were more intergenerational families like this, built on the love of two gay men.
  10. Hi, Page! We're fine. How are you, Max and Morgan?
  11. Thanks for the announcement, Val! I'm bookmarking this because I'm planning to enter again this year. I am also looking forward to reading the poems written for this event. GA has some excellent poets.
  12. I love the story, also. It kept me on the edge of my seat constantly.

    Guidance

This is a beautiful short story of a man's spirit in the afterlife, selflessly helping his grieving lover move on in life as he waits to be united again with him. It is a compelling story of great love. My best recommendation.

    Chapter 1

I have had dogs as companions for most of my life. I only got bitten by one mangy, abused dog. I loved all dogs and agreed with Doug. Dogs are only mean because of the way they are treated by abusive owners.

    Chapter 1

Hey, Drown! @drsawzall is going to love your comment when he wakes up in the morning. 😁 I also had the same reaction to this story ending in a cliffhanger. As one of his editors, I gave him hell over it. I kept expecting him to send me a new chapter until he published this in the GA Anthology. If you haven't read the prequel, La Tombola, it is also compelling and has some of the same characters. He has also written many other stories you might like. The Doc has been distracted by real life lately, but he did tell me he wants to continue this story when things get settled. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hi Albert! Thanks for all your wonderful comments and support throughout the story. I sincerely hope that there will be more coming in the future.

    Epilogue

It's great to have the support of readers like you @Butcher56. I too am happy you enjoyed the story.
  21. It's a good thing you keep him in line. You should have seen all the bawdy dialogue he was going to give Jason, Danny and Liam to tease Charlie and Brad at their party after they announced they were officially boyfriends. 😁 I'm sending my love back at you.
  22. His fingers are safe. I am trying to get longer stories for you, Albert, and not giving him excuses to take longer to write stories.
  23. A new character or just a character that was introduced in this story? You better not confide in that crazy beta of yours, or he will boggle your mind with a bunch of silly suggestions.
  24. I definitely could support that!
  25. I am happy that you are feeling better. I was worried for a while. I am glad that you were with us all the way through the story. Your support was support. The story is 80,000 words and is Craig's longest book ever. However, I will keep your comment in mind as I crack the whip to make Craig write an even longer story.
