Manny is a wonderful man and a generous mentor to Ian. Danny makes me want to cry. He has lost everything he loved and cared for. Kate and Steve will make wonderful foster parents, so things are bound to improve for Danny.

Jason is very edgy and easily startled/frightened by Jim's simple touch. It demonstrates how he was abused. Seeing the difference between Jason in this chapter and Jason in the Baxter Boys is amazing.

This introduction of Sister Judy just adds to her legendary feistiness. It is great that she appears in later stories. It was fun to see Kevin get feisty with Dr. Gary, also.

I forgot to mention in my comment when I read this before, but I was proud of Beccy and Jim for also rescuing Jason and protecting him from Bill. People like him are the lowest forms of humanity!

I love this more the second read around. I had forgotten how close Dr. Gary and John are. I can't wait for Gary to get his special nurse in on the action.

OK, I'm starting on my second read and finding more to like. By the time I got to the Baxter Boys, I had forgotten how well-loved and respected Kate and Steve were by people at The Boot.

I'm on my second reading and wanted to add something I missed. Kevin and Ian are horndogs and I loved the playful morning seduction. Too bad John had to interrupt their fun. Baaad boy, John!

I just read the Review by @Summerabbacat. I wanted to thank you for your great review and inclusion in the Review. It made me feel great. Craig and I have a great relationship as writer and beta/editor. It is one that we have both decided to continue. Right now, he has me looking over one of his prior stories to make it easier to read. These are not big changes and certainly nothing that changes the plot, characters, or setting, but more to enhance the flow of the book. Hopefully, this will add to the reader's enjoyment.

It took several tries using the AI until I got a result that fit Mancunian's expectations. I'm glad you said this. The building was also my favourite and reminded me of several buildings I saw in my youth.

Here's a tissue, @Lee Wilson. I appreciate you mentioning that the characters are so real. I admire Craig for writing about homeless people and working in real life to help them. It's why the characters are so realistic. He knows people like this and works in this environment.

It's great that you like the story and epilogue, @Anton_Cloche! I love that you used Craig's mention of the colour codes to find the picture of the Mini in those colours. It adds a lot to the story to know what the Mini looks like. Thanks so much!
