  1. I'm doing well. I'm a little sad that The Baxter Boys is now officially finished. Craig posted the epilogue about 40 minutes ago. Other than that, I'm keeping busy and enjoying the weather. How are you and Steve doing? I do hope you are feeling better! ❤️
  2. His Beta/Editor is also going to miss the boys. All of them! The story is filled with a lot of incredible characters. I could stand for a break of a few days, but I have enjoyed filling my time working on the story with Craig. I hope his break isn't too long.
  3. The Baxter boys are homeless, cold, sick and running out of hope as they walk to Manchester, hoping to find shelter from the upcoming winter. What will they find there? You’ll love this beautiful and loving story as it unfolds to reveal what they find. Mancunian has written a wonderful story full of love, hope, and happiness. It has my highest recommendation, and I know you will be delighted that you have read this well-written tale.
  4. You better mark the story complete if you want recommendations and reviews, @Mancunian! Now get with it! I want to post the first Review!

    Epilogue

As a reader, I love to share what I have read with others. I do so in the comments to the chapters and love it. However, I also want others to read the story. The chapter's comments and reactions don't make that happen. If you love the story and want others to read it, you need to go to the Story Title Page. There, you can Recommend the story, which is most important because the Recommendations are highly weighted by GA's algorithm. Another great way to reach readers more personally is to write a Review. Both are easy and quick. I know all authors love getting Recommendations and Reviews. It's their pay for writing a good story. If you click the link below, it will take you to the Story Title Page for this story quickly.

    Epilogue

This is a very loving and emotional end to the story. I needed a lot of tissues as I helped Craig with this chapter. The story comes full circle, with the boys again in tears, thinking about their mother. This time, the tears were happy tears with the promise of a new future and family. I was glad that Brad shared in this.

    Chapter 33

I thought getting back to Parallax after securing the star would be easy. Silly me, I forgot about your love of twisting paths, @Cia! I do wish I had that magic food bag. It would save me a bundle of money and time. I don't suppose the Mage has self-cleaning utensils, does he? At least we know there is still a lot more adventure to come! Thanks for that!
  8. I can't wait for Billy to demand his own story. After all, I don't think you are finished telling tales in the Sidewinder universe.
  9. I'm doing well. I didn't get much done today other than reading, transferring photos from my old phone to my computer, and editing Craig's epilogue. The weather here is still good, but the air quality will soon get bad. I hope you get your rest and are fit tomorrow.
  10. I enjoyed the much more talkative Jubal. He's not afraid to speak up, knowing that Lucas loves him. His decision to buy the land bordering the farm is a great decision. I'm glad that Reid rode out to tell them about the land. I was surprised that Reid was open and honest with Jubal on the ride into town. I laughed at how Jubal turned it on him to make Reid think about his feelings for Billy. It might have even factored into Reid's decision to immediately buy the property next to Jubal's land. I wonder what Reid and Billy will talk about after Jubal leaves. I am willing to bet that Billy will be more than pleased.
  11. Hi Bucket! I hope your day was good.
  12. Hi Albert! Hope your week is off to a great start!
  13. I get your point, Spike. Maybe if I put it differently, it might be clearer. It is the family and its values that come first. The business is something that is owned by the family, and the responsibility of the family is to all participate in generating the wealth of all the members of the family. Thus, the business is a family heirloom possession to be maintained and grow through the work of all family members. This goes for all families, from farmers to huge conglomerates like Samsung. The hierarchy may be set, but there is a lot of room for individualism in the system. In a system like this, you probably would get your wish to establish your own business and the support to make it successful.
  14. The term for this business structure is Chaebol, and it is based on the teachings of Confucius. It is found in many East Asian countries at all socio-economic levels. If you go with your initial reaction, you're going to spend any time vacationing here, punching men and missing out on the fun. Oh...unless that's your kind of thing.😁
  15. Aod gave me my Christmas present finally. It's an iPhone 15 Pro Max. That means I have even more errands to do tomorrow. I love the phone, but some apps, like my online banking app, require some extra work. Tomorrow I need to go to my bank in order to sync it with my account.
  16. Yes he did, but he probably redacted himself.
  17. Your voice would add that macho Australian accent that would turn everyone on to the actions in the event.

    Chapter 15

I went through a ton of tissues and even looked up recipes for soups that Stacy cooked and tried them myself. I can deeply empathize @Dan South! There are some places that I still get misty-eyed no matter how many times I read them as a beta.

    Chapter 15

I hope you are feeling better, Albert. Craig's stories are great reading, and I also hope we see these characters in future stories. I will talk with some of them and try to get them to make some demands in Craig's head to be heard again.

    Chapter 15

I also love stories like this that are uplifting. More stories like this are needed.
  21. That's a mystery to me. Even after living here so long, I don't have an answer for that. Some people choose their nicknames, others are given them by family or friends. Most nicknames are one syllable or two at the most. Some describe behaviours, and others describe physical traits/characteristics. Some have no meaning at all, like Aod. There are a few that use diminutives of their names. Nicknames change constantly and can even be different with different friends. Sometimes, I think Thais are worse than Tolstoy when using nicknames.
  22. Nickname. If the name is short, it is almost always a nickname. His real name is Wanchai.
  23. If Drew says I'm bullying him, I'll change the comment to bee hummingbird eggs.
