    THE TRUTH

    Well done again, Wombat Bill!
  3. Well, I did not like the earlier stories in the Talents (Tower and Hive) series as much as the later ones. I would suggest starting with "The Rowan" and continuing with "Damia" and then "Damia's Children". then "Lyon's Pride," and then "The Tower and The Hive." When she wrote the earlier "Talents" books, [To Ride Pegasus, Pegasus in Flight, Pegasus in Space] she was still playing with the concept and developing the ideas. You can read the later books I mentioned first, if you want, without missing hardly anything. A book of her short stories I enjoyed was "Get Off the Unicorn," has some "Talents" short stories, one or two "Dragonriders of Pern short stories, and Anne's "soft porn" story, "The Thorns of Barevi," which is an "introduction" of sorts to her "Freedom Series" (very good books, Freedom's Landing, Freedom's Choice, Freedom's Challenge, and Freedom's Ransom). The book was was originally supposed to be "Get OF the Unicorn" but the publisher made an error in the title. "Thorns of Barevi" has a different ending than the beginning of "Freedom's Landing. Both are good. I enjoyed the Crystal Singer Series and several of the Ship Who Sang books. I really enjoyed Anne's short singleton book, "No One Noticed the Cat." I even enjoyed looking through her two cookbooks. Thank you for your writings.
  4. Doesn't Price realize that if he pursues this, the truth of his relationship with Mrs. P will also come out?
  5. I started reading the story some time back and life interrupted. It was a good story, and is a good story, but sometimes life gets in the way. I'm starting the story all over again, and will eventually finish it. I like the premise, and the characters I have read about thus far. So far, the writing is very similar to Anne's (and I mean that as a high compliment). Mawgrim, have you also read Anne McCaffrey's Wild Talents/Tower and Hive series? I liked those almost as much as the Dragonriders series. There is more overt sexuality, both straight and gay, in some of those books. In the Dragonriders series, most of the directly gay scenes seem to have been in either Dragonsdawn or Renegades of Pern (I don't remember which, offhand). I am going to have to schedule myself a "readathon" of all your stuff on GA in the next two or three weeks, and catch up. You write well, and concisely, and yet still make it enjoyable, with adequate detail such that the story is understood, not just read. Well done.

    Wow, what a good chapter!
  7. You took care of some loose ends here, Wombat Bill, and in a really good way. Way to go!
  8. Wow, an active chapter! Mrs. P was so much more mannerly than Mr. P.

    MOVING OUT

    Good chapter, Wombat Bill.
  10. We learned a LOT in this chapter.
  11. I look forward to reading the next chapter. I also really like the character of Craig's grandmother.
  12. Fascinating, with humor, and raising additional interesting questions. Well done indeed, Wombat Bill!

Fascinating. I'm reminded of an old hillbilly Ozarks story about a "harmless" blacksnake. Two guys were hiking in the woods, and they saw a five foot blacksnake. One said, "I'm afraid of snakes." The other said, "Why, that's just a harmless blacksnake. It's not poisonous." The first said, "If he can make me jump off of a 50 foot cliff, he doesn't have to be poison!" I am not fond of snakes myself, but not quite as afraid as Jared.
  14. Good stuff, Maynard ( as people used to say when I was young). You have obviously done a lot of research I haven't. It was good to see Seth reining in Eric and doing some re-assuring this time. I look forward to seeing what the scouting expedition turns up.

    The Story

While I had hoped Ricky's little brother would show up, this was a fine story, even without Sefton, Billy and Will, Keerby, and Mrs. P. Excellent to see Twombly again. I love that place! I suspect that Kontus is being stirred up as a power user (eventually) by constant association to Pacha, just as Charlie, Kippy, Rick, and Adrian were triggered faster in their powers through associations with Max, Frit, and Pic, in the second Charlie Boone tale. Perhaps in another three or four stories something on that will show up. Kontus would be a great person to be the first power user, even if on a low level, of his kind. Perhaps one day this year the third Doors tale might appear, and the third Thrift Shop story, or a one chapter intro to a sequel to "Z Is For Zombie." Or perhaps rest for a time, and allow more creative juices to flow. Well Done, Geron. This is a great present for all of your readers!

    Great chapter!

    THE ARTS

Fascinating. Edward sure finds some unusual interviewees, doesn't he? And Justin keeps arriving at interesting ideas of presentations during catering.
  19. What sites did you publish the story on? Were you using the same name?

Okay, @R. Eric -- this type of stuff is right up one of my proverbial alleys. Also, Erik is gaining more ability. Further, you managed to avoid wild hares, rabbits, and what Mark Twain called "jackass rabbits." And, it is also obvious that the Puritans are getting closer.

    A CLOSE SHAVE

I'm glad Craig talked Justin out of the PA. I've seen some that were not so great-looking. They might not have been done well at the start. Good chapter, Wombat Bill.
  22. Wow, great! It sound as if Edward is more uptight than Michael or Justin. And the next chapter title sounds fascinating!
  23. Fascinating. Well done, Wombat Bill. Loving the story.

    EDWARD LISTENS

Unfortunately, many in the USA are also prejudiced against anyone different from what they consider "right." I have met those prejudiced against circumcision, those prejudiced against UNcircimcision, those prejudiced against "liberals and moderates," too many who are anti-LGBTQIA+, those who are anti-Native American, those who are anti-Asian, racial color or whatever, and I have even met several people who are very prejudiced against fiction. And I'm not even get into those prejudiced against various religious, agnostic, anti-supernatural, or atheist groups! (I am not sure there is enough digital storage on the internet for THAT!) Some persons have prejudice against bisexual persons. As a bisexual male, I've been told things like, "Pick a side, already!"
  25. Interesting. Please tell us more in future chapters.
