Thank you! Yes, still more healing. Wrapping up Darrin just seemed like a good idea, so we know he's gone. And Sarah needed a little HEA for herself . The plantation is a tough call. Yes, their father owned it, but there are a lot of bad memories there too that I don't think Bryan, especially, could overcome.

Oooh, good point about the lunatic supporters of Carol--I should have thought of that. I thought bringing in Darrin one last time would wrap up him as a loose end. I tried to show him being a little horrified by the fact Wyatt had been kidnapped when Bryan confronted him, and hopefully this shows he's at least reconsidered how he's acted before. The plantation would be a hard place to return to, I think, for all of them.

Thank you. Bryan definitely wants Eddie to stay with him, and Sarah helping out while he's at the hospital is such a relief. Nathan and Marc depict what Bryan and Eddie probably had with their father, a loving relationship.

I did briefly consider not having Wyatt make it, but I rarely have stories that don't have a HEA, and I just couldn't do it. I think I would have set off an uproar if I'd done that, hehe. Sarah has definitely been a rock for Bryan, so I had to make sure she had a little HEA too!

thank you, so glad you enjoyed it. There's definitely a lot of healing still left to do, for everyone. Bryan's the one who's probably going to take the longest to recover, but he'll have Wyatt, Eddie, and Sarah to help support him.

Eddie is definitely a lovable character. I wouldn't be surprised if I use him in some prompts in the future . Nathan and Sarah will make a cute couple, now that the 'case' is over with.

As with many of my stories, the characters often need time to heal, not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well. This time its more Bryan who has the most healing to do, I think. I might need to go back and add a bit about Bryan, Eddie and their dad's relationship, maybe in a flashback or something.

Chapter 22 Wyatt swallowed again, his throat sore and dry from the tube abrading his windpipe. But at least the obnoxious thing was gone. He'd coughed a few times, causing his chest to explode with pain, but the doctor said it was normal. His chest and lungs would feel sore for a while. Chapter 21 "...this was the scene yesterday at the Turner Plantation..." the reporter was saying as Bryan rushed around the kitchen grabbing something to eat after having checked his phone ten times this morning to make sure the hospital hadn't called. Hey there! The prompts are great fun. Once you post it, copy the url. Then you can add a post under the right prompt number, saying something like 'here's my attempt', and the add the link back to your posted story. Thank you for the feature!. I'm so glad you do these prompts. I love seeing what everyone does with them. The 'what did he just say?' prompt is calling me--maybe to Kayden again...or maybe I'll finally get around to writing some actual shorts that aren't related to longer stories, like the anthology piece.

So glad you enjoyed Wyatt's rescue! I know many were awaiting this day with great anticipation. There's still some healing and recovery that needs to happen, especially with Bryan and his guilt. So stay tuned!

Glad you enjoyed Eddie's role in Wyatt's rescue! Bryan will definitely be reeling from guilt, but I think it will help that MD is dead and not lingering around even from prison.
