For me, I get “don’t I know you? You look familiar.” Yeah, no...So I understand how these things happen. Omg. I was going to ask if you had a premonition. This is perfect timing. The notion that this choice could be taken away from women, is sickening.

I came to this late, but if I may add my five cents.. During the Easter season, our church, (I’m Anglican..Episcopalian for the Americans) led discussions about mystagogy. It’s when they delve into the mysteries of what we are called to blindly believe in the bible. The mystery of faith so to speak During these talks we were encouraged to ask many of the same questions of God. We also got, Why did Jesus have to die on the cross. Wasn’t there a better way.Why bad things happen to good people. Why innocent kids are stricken with cancer. Are angels real. Is there really a hell, purgatory. What about reincarnation, etc. We weren’t meant to get answers, but it sparked such theological debate, and alternate theories, especially between the philosophers and scientists and ex-Catholics, in the group. No one was right or wrong, we just basically questioned our faith in something that seemingly fails and disappoints us over and over. The Dean who was leading the talk advised us to see the God we believe in, in everyone. Whatever form that God takes I walked away no more enlightened than I went in, but I felt good knowing that I was not the only one who had doubts, who questioned things the way I did, and who treated god like the boyfriend you always need a break from, but somehow goes back to. For me it’s simple, to the best of your ability, treat others the way you want to be treated. Be respectful and kind. The very idea that any one religion is the absolute truth, that we should believe without question, and that any person has the right to inflict their beliefs on us is ludicrous. It destroys our very humanity. I wish your piece was available to read during that time. It is very thought provoking and I think it would have fit right in. I love that you posted this. You know a video is going to surface right? It will be grainy and we’ll barely make out that it’s CJ, but it will be a scandal. Ethan has got his work cut out for him. Not to mention all these people in high places who will have to pull every string possible to make it go away! Nice chapter, C. As always it’s great to vacation with the boys.

I like how they both handled Ritchie’s problem. CJ is showing how much he has matured, benefitting from Oz’ steady disposition and too from his experiences with the dads. I’m proud of the teens for making a decision that was right for them.
