    This is all kinds of heartbreaking, even if it’s only 2 weeks. That is a lot of time to further fracture Daniel’s psyche. I’m sure their feelings about his mother will spill over on to him forcing him to carry even more guilt. This is just sad and wrong. You write such compelling characters, Thorn. Good chapter.

    I’m crying too.. why am I crying..Gah! I’m sad for all of them. Also, I don’t like this answer... I do t want the grandparents to suddenly try to be better and mean it. I want Daniel at home. With his dads. And his boyfriend. Doable?

    Oh Brad, you silly, nut job! Lol. “You smoked?” It’s funny when we as teenagers realise our parents once were too! I like how Kelly’s dad handled them. Pretty cool to give them a free pass. The boys get the warning but this is going to be a classic, “I wonder who... I suspect... but we’ll never know...” story for the ages. Just imagine, the Stucky and Pritchard kids in a generational long friendly feud because of this.😝 I really enjoyed this, Geron. Thank you for being such an awesome author 🙂

    Well done chapter, Thorn. Everything in me wants to protect Daniel from himself. He does not belong with those grandparents even though they have legal claim. Unfortunately, this happens too often, where kids get sent to relatives and not to whom is in their best interests. That’s across the board too. I hope Daniel and his dads stay together..

    Go Julie! And her mom was just great Jason’s dad...”Son, there’s something I have to tell you....” lol I wonder how deep down Jason’s bigotry really is. He was loud and offensive, clearly thinking that his dad and maybe the rest of the family was on his side. Maybe he was testing the waters by being the aggressor? Hmm Awesome chapter!

    Good almost afternoon, peeps. It is hot as hay.. walked around the neighborhood with mother, and I don’t think I’m leaving the coolness of the house ever again. 😩 Well, at least for a few hours.. I’ll try to get some reading done! have a good one, all. 🙂
