Something tells me that iPhone is gonna get broken, and that's really sad it's the first christmas gift he's gotten since his mom left, and yet his asshole father will probably ruin this too. I hope they bought AppleCare! Oh well, to focus on the happier parts, it's awesome to see Matt and Avery together like that! Avery seems to be fairly receptive to Matt's touches, so maybe his healing won't be too bad. I hope so, at least!

Aww, I love the scene with Erin and Avery! Erin seems like the type of family that Avery should have, as opposed to that douchebag of a father he has to deal with. I wish Avery and Brad could have traded dads, so those two could have tortured each other for a while and Avery could learn what an actual dad is like

Poor Avery, he's got his hopes up, and of course his asshole dad is planning to make everything even worse for him instead. It sucks that Matt had to pick the exact weekend his dad was planning on pimping him out - presumably to this new rich bastard - but at least maybe he'll drop in for a surprise visit and see what's going on!

I had a moment of hope when Matt showed up, 'cause I thought (I didn't really think about it, it's pretty obviously wrong ) he'd be picking Avery up to go somewhere, so Avery could skip the dinner. Oh well, at least he probably won't have to deal with his dad pimping him out tonight, otherwise the bastard would have been more upset that he was sick and not just worried about the weekend. Awesome chapter, I'm almost as excited for the next one as I am nervous!

Wow, that one went through the whole spectrum of emotions! Sadness, anger, irritation, happiness, hopefulness, wonder, love, lust, and amusement at the very end . I don't wanna focus on just the sex scene, but damn, it kinda demands it! That was one awesome sex scene! The vivid imagery that you've nailed in lots of places in this story plus the emotions building up to it made it really engaging, and the dented roof made it funny . Overall, I loved the chapter, especially how Dan's going to Adam's place now Thanks for writing, I'd almost forgotten just how good this story is!

I wonder if Matt noticed the locks on the pantry that were mentioned before? I hope so; maybe that'd tip him off as to how wrong everything in that house is. Loved the chapter, can't wait for tomorrow's!

I absolutely love this song, but when I was looking it up just now, I made the mistake of reading the comments from now on I'll never be able to unhear "Far away from all the troubles, I eat c*cks with my two hands"

was that a bit of minor mind control? Maybe I just interpreted that wrong, but it seemed like Will used his mind to make Teddy believe him... if betas can control minds (even if it's just to nudge them), then I can't see the nobles - or Anna (she's the one who laid the trail for them to follow out of the city, so she seems more likely) - 'wasting' them (they'd be good at keeping people in line and unquestioning). Maybe Will's not the last beta Then again, the mind control didn't seem as much of a surprise as I'd have expected it to be, so it might have been revealed earlier and I'm just forgetting it . Awesome chapter, the action's getting more intense!

Ooh, Will's badass side is beginning to show! I hope they lock the guard in the room and gag him, just in case he wakes up before another guard comes to take his place. Anna might not be so friendly - well, as close to friendly as she has been - if they're caught during an escape attempt.

Teddy really is like a teddy bear - Will practically has to carry him around, but in return he's Will's emotional support. They really do have a cute relationship

As horrible as the chains in the basement are, I can't help feeling a little glad that they're there; they're easy evidence against that bastard, and they can't be brushed off as an 'accident' like bruises can. Calling the police seems unlikely for Avery to do, but if someone else gives him the courage, or does it themselves, the chains will be helpful - not that I really want his dad to get arrested . He seems to be thinking about pimping Avery out to get out of his financial situation, so any punishment the law could give him wouldn't be nearly enough. I'm not gonna rant about Avery's dad too much (I'll just daydream about painful ways for him to die ), so I'll cut it off there . This was an engaging, if depressing, chapter. It's interesting to see that Avery was subconsciously thinking about Matt while drawing; the attempt to get through to him must have worked more than he let on... hopefully Avery will be a little more receptive next time Matt approaches him

Seeing Avery react to kindness like that really puts how horrible the situation is into perspective . It's good that Matt wasn't scared away, and didn't make a big deal about it! That line made me shiver... it really showed how easy it would be for Matt to just put aside his suspicions and dismiss Avery as a moody goth kid, and how reasonable willful ignorance can seem - not to mention that it's probably the exact thought that's gone through people's heads in real life situations like these. It's good that Matt's settling in well, but hopefully he doesn't get too complacent... Loved the chapter, as usual

Poor Avery, his dad is one sick fuck . It's terrifying, but unfortunately realistic, that someone like that can be a respected part of society. Another awesome chapter, thanks for writing!

Ooh, seeing a new story from you on the newsfeed got me excited pretty quickly, and it didn't let me down! The plot's developing already, and I like the characters already... minus Avery's dad, of course . I'll be eagerly waiting for the next chapter!
