I remember watching a spoof on detective mystery shows and… major spoiler alert… it was the detectives who did all the murders
Based of “And then there were none”, sort of, kind of, with everyone being guilty
That would make me a detective in Midsomer… you lot make terrible comments about everything wanting to kill you in Australia but we don't have several murders each week in tiny cute villages
Very good advice
I always have a fair bit of water in the car during summer (part of the fire prep) but I have put a few litres in the fridge so I will have cold water on the way down
It's about a 3.5 hour drive but I make regular stops so it can add another hour to the drive. I might need to restrict myself to shopping stops rather than any touristy pauses as I need to do a bit of shopping at one of the Farmers Markets.
It’s a great place with lots and lots of goodies to enjoy. I am going to bbq some lamb chops for my sister's birthday lunch and I am thinking I might get some fish as well. It is definitely salad weather so I will pull together a couple of different kinds for the lunch. I'm still not sure about dessert/birthday cake - either a pavlova topped with a medley of fruits or cupcakes from the awesome bakery. I’m leaning towards the pavlova.
I had great plans today… I am heading down to visit my sister for her birthday this weekend so needed to do domestic stuff to get ready… well the power went off at lunchtime and the power people were suggesting that it would be restored at 8:30pm, there goes the afternoon
So I went out for a drive, did a bit of shopping, bought some Christmas buttons that I’m going to turn into badges/pins and add to my Christmas cards - a massive spend of $6 for a bit of Christmas whimsy
I am happy to share
Yep you can definitely have some from here - luckily it has cooled down a bit but it will be back up to 35C on Friday. I am glad that the warnings aren’t coming thick and fast like they were. Extreme fire danger (be ready to evacuate), severe weather warning (beware of falling trees) and heatwave warning (that was easy to recognize, it was bluefish hot). Things are a bit more relaxed here
