    Chapter 4

Like everyone else, loving the bonding with Lane. The rest of the family is...well...scattered, to put it diplomatically. I think they've so gotten used to doing their own thing that they've forgotten about the little thinks that make a family. Not recognizing the clean house and dinner wasn't an oversight--it was a major faux pax! Really enjoying g this, and looking forward to the next chapter. A fine tale underway here!

    Breaking the Ice

What a fun chapter! You've captured the energy and intensity of the flirting, the stolen glances, the secret touches of a well-done first date perfectly. And, can't wait to hear how they explain the goal's damages! That's gonna be fun. GREAT job here...damn fine writing... And that next chapter will be out, uh, tomorrow, right? (Grin)
  3. Damn...he handles the realization of being non-biological dad incredibly well--far better than I'd expected. I'm a little concerned, though, that he'll try to make things right with the "real" father--which will lead to major drama. I'm gonna disagree with Mikiesboy, though...both of our heroes are in delicate emotional spaces, and it'd be too easy to confuse real long-term feelings with immediate strong (also emotional) needs. Nice that they've made a conscious effort to slow down, at least some. Nicely done chapter, with a good setup for future plot developments. Good job!
  4. It's gonna be fun to watch the interaction with Clayton and Rex--their upcoming lunch will certainly be interesting! And, yeah, Clayton is moving along slowly, but certain your pep talk helped! And "Wednesday" is gonna be a long day (may actually turn into 2 chapters!), so get ready! Seriously delighted that you're enjoying the story; THANK YOU for your comments!
  5. Really loving learning Ryan's response to all this. After all, he's never even remotely considered a long-term relationship before, so he's definitely in unchartered waters here--and definitely a little off balance. Loved the reference to Joe and Rex...thank you! And, thanks for the comments and reading along with the story!
  6. Clayton's secret will be revealed in due time, once he's comfortable--we already know his previous lover knew the details, but they were together a year before he knew--so obviously Clayton has to build trust in Ryan. As for the bikers, and club activities; well, that group sounded far to rowdy to live in the confines of the club. Perhaps Clayton can get the truth from Ben about what's really going on. Lingustines? don't know what that is. THANK YOU for the comments--and for reading along with the tale!
  7. You're absolutely right--lots of things going on here! And nice that there's the "future" that Rex has told, and implemented with the ramps as a part of that! Thanks for the comments--and for reading along, buddy!

    Problem Solved?

Think it's a case, Gary, of Ben's just kinda fallen into something, and he doesn't know how to manage it--so it's just letting it run. No thinking, just sex. Ryan and Clayton are definitely solid enough to work through things, and like you, I'm feeling good about it! Thanks for the comments/review!

    Chapter 1

What a great start to what I believe will become an intriguing story! You've definately painted a cast of characters and situations that are believeable and inspire emotional responses. (Yeah, I'm one of the guys who thinks dad needs a good "whooping" himself!) Can't wait for more! Good job! Rex

    Chapter 5

Such a dramatic turn for both of our heroes! Leaving jobs, thinking of family, starting new careers? Quite a lot of changes--and I'm wondering if that's such a good thing. The alure of adventure and secret missions may be too much to walk away from--or their experiences there, which made them both stronger individually as well as a couple--plus the hefty cash are big draws back into that life. (The stock job? Not so much.) It's a great transition chapter--but I'm damn near certain there's another plot afoot... <grin> So bring on that next chapter! Rex

    Chapter 8

Nicely told! You can feel the sexual tension building, along with the uncertainty between both our heroes. And it DOES help explain the current feelings running amock. Well done! Looking forward to the next chapter, hoping there's a resolution underway. Rex

    Chapter 7

Damn cliffhanger <grumble, grumble> And just as it was getting really good! Paul, I suspect may turn out to be the friend that both our hero's need. Nicely done job here--and you've left tantalizing hints of more....like the eyes that were watching this morning. More, More! Rex
  13. Loving Chip and Doc...the changes are obvious with Doc. As for Chip and CJ...nah, their friendship/bonding is heading so deep, think the sex would mess it up. I must admit, I'm kinda surprised that CJ as become so dis-interested in Owen. Is this a case of "out of sight, out of mind"? Or is Owen really pushing that hard? Time will tell, I suppose. Another fine job here! Loving the dynamics/dialogue between the character!
  14. Really enjoyed this chapter--great that Eustace admitted how much he'd missed Andy, and how quickly he accepted their relationship. Despite the fact it wasn't clearly spelled it, I believe that was an important thing for Andy. And the entire "tell my story, no holds barred" approach he's used is an obvious sign of his maturity. He'd even handled Zander's fears appropriately. Deliciously satisfying! Can't wait to see what happens next!
  15. So very glad you're enjoying the story, Onim! And you're right--plenty of stuff going on here--Clayton's right, we can learn lots if we just listen. As for the next "two-fer", don't know that'll happen soon, but promise, future chapters will be slightly longer, and will cover a little more info. How's that for a compromise? THANK YOU for following the story, and your comments. I appreciate you!
  16. Glad you're enjoying the pacing of the tale, Onim. Quite frankly, it's a slower pace than what I'm used to writing, but perhaps it's good for me. And glad you're liking the old character and the kids, too. But, admittedly, don't get too excited over the 2 chapters at once--hell, it's all I can do to get one out. Even if these 2 chapters at once were caused by my screwup, I'm glad you're liking it. Thanks for reading and commenting!
  17. Did I mention that as a Dom, I love it when you beg? This chapter really DID cover a lot of stuff, so hang on...there's a lot ahead, and I'm hoping you'll enjoy it. The Wednesday night dinner at Clayton's will be noteworthy. (And, just so you know, your favorite, Dave, is in the picture again in a few chapters....) I really appreciate your reading/comments/support. Thanks!
  18. Nope, this was totally my screwup, trying to edit a chapter when it's scheduled for future posting is a recipe for disaster! Think you got the biggest takeaway of all from the crawfish boil--it's finally hit Ryan that his feeling really are that strong for Clayton. It's almost like he he'd been denying it. I appreciate your comments and following the story. Thank you!

  20. Skinny, what? You were hungry, too? LOL Not a problem about BBQ vs. Crawfish boil. Dragons get lots of latitude with me. I think in some ways, Rex just stated the obvious--the guys have a future together. Now if we can just get 'em off dead-center. Trust me, the Wednesday night dinner at Claton's coming up with get to ya--lots of stuff happening there. THANK YOU for reading/commenting!
  21. Timothy, with a couple of hard-headed guys, you gotta keep nagging away to make it all soak in, right? But you're correct--it's time, and God knows, it's apparently feeling right! Thanks for the read and the comments. I appreciate you!
  22. Glad you liked the way Ryan is growing to recognize the "something special" that he's got with Clayton. I suspect part of it all is that he's ONLY played the field--Ryan had never really seriously considered anyone for long term, at least not until he'd met Clayton, so this is a different world for him. Thanks for the kind review and generous comments. And next time I've got a boil scheduled, you'll be among the first to know!
  23. LOL! I'm writing as fast as I can! Yup, there are lots of bits and pieces in this chapter, and think the pieces will fall into place--and hope you'll like the way that happens. As for the extra crawfish? Come on over--I'll take care of that for ya! The next chapter of the story, however, will be out next Thursday. But you're right--both Ryan and Clayton recognize there's more going on between 'em. Thanks for the comments, and thanks for following this tale. I appreciate it!
  24. Ryan definitely has something in the works for Clayton...so keep your eyes peeled for the next couple of chapters! As for Rex, we'd learned in "Landfall" that Rex has some skills at "reading" people/circumstances. He'd explained it there as something we all have, like knowing who's calling as the phone rings without looking at the caller ID--but he's proven his skills there are a little more involved. His insight in Clayton/Ryan are certainly positive here. We'll see if he provides any other explanations to Clayton later. Thanks for reading and the remarks! I appreciate it!
  25. LOL! Sorry the chapter was shorter than normal--but the next chapter will make up for that. Wednesday is gonna turn out to be a VERY long day for Ryan...so get ready! Thanks for the review/comments!
