Fun mix of hot, breathless, hurry-so-we-don't-get-caught sex along with life decisions about where do I go to college! Typical teenager stuff. Also gonna be fun to see how the prom goes, both in terms of how they feel about each other as well as the school's respinse to a gay couple. Fine writing here...looking forward to the next chapter!

Interesting story, and plenty of revelations from Adam. Despite his image, he's obviously perfectly content to develop a "dating relationship" (I.e. "Fuck-buddy") if a guy comes along--after all, he did it with coach. But he's also got depth, since he's carrying quite a load of guilt over how that relationship ended. Gonna be interesting to watch the story's development...more, more!

Not a sex chapter...it's love-making. Tender, hot...and great to see Andy as something of the aggressor. I'm also getting the feeling that Zander's parents were surprisingly ... muted about Zander's coming out to his family, and really didn't have a lot to say about his schoolmates responses. (Of course, I've got too much blood in the caffeine system this morn, so I may pick up other vibes after more coffee!). Perhaps time will tell more about their response/counsel. Beautifully done sizzling chapter!

Someday We'll Be Together
Robert Rex commented on Carlos Hazday's story chapter in Someday We'll Be Together
CJ and Owen have certainly developed into quite the couple--enough so that Owen will be CJ's first! Quite the step. Another satisfying chapter; you've done well here! -
Why, thanks, Skinny! That's high praise! Benoit is definitely a character...definitely doesn't fit with the group as we've come to know them. Thanks for the comments and praise! I'm honored with your review!

Loving the way this chapter went--and like Timothy M. said, we need more of Mark and Dan! Great job, when you can leave us all wanting more......
-
Hurray, Mark! Carl's attitudes are finally clear, and Mark can move on! Tough chapter, but a great realization on Mark's part. GREAT job!

A Night at the Lord Selkirk
Robert Rex commented on Diogenes's story chapter in A Night at the Lord Selkirk
It's a well-told story, fully of emotion--and I'm surprised at how much I resent Carl! He's down, depressed; I understand why, but he races to Mark who's got his own issues to deal with, gets off with him...then is filled with guilt/remorse/whatever. Is Mark being used? I think it's telling that Mark is saying "we shouldn't be doing this, I shouldn't be doing this" and maybe feeling a little guilty when the sex is starting while Carl is going full steam ahead to (temporarily) satisfy his needs with no thought of the future. I obviously have some work to do on this! BUT ... it should show what a great writing job you've done when you can pull those emotions from a reader like me and others here! Looking forward to the next chapter! -
You're telling a great story here--one that used to be far more common perhaps than now. And I must admit that I'm a little pissed right now with Carl, and think Mark's anger/resentment/feeling used is totally appropriate--Carl comes across as someone who is greedy and "wants it all", and is perfectly willing to use Mark in the process. Gonna be interesting to see in future chapters how they reconcile all of this. You did well here! (And sorry about the previous blank review--I had comments, but the system wiped 'em!)

Loving this tale...the anguish/lonliness comes through clearly.... Great job!

LOL! Now, a week isn't so bad, is it? You're right--the bar seems to almost act as a community center, and not just a place to serve drinks; it really is true that they're acting like a family! Ben is off the romantic radar at the moment, and Ryan and Clayton are moving forward at light-speed. Get ready...there are definitely some fireworks ahead--maybe even next week! LOL! Thanks for your comments and following the story!

What the Hell Am I Thinking?
Robert Rex commented on Robert Rex's story chapter in What the Hell Am I Thinking?
Thanks, Gary! Clayton has been struck--and his uncertainty/confusion is evident. After living in a rambling house alone all this time, he's obviously wrestling with his own issues, including Ben. As for Barry, I'm glad you spotted the fun, more playful, "take no prisoners" attitude--he was so buried in "Landfall", I wasn't certain that came through. I appreciate the kind words, my friend! Thanks for hanging in with the story! -
"Ok, park your ass in your usual chair now. You're going to give me every wonderfully nasty detail of your hot date last night." Barry's pointing to the chair I usually take at the bar, and he's kind of kidding but really not when he's demanding information about my evening with Ryan. "Barry, what kind of guy do you think I am? You think I'd kiss and tell? I'm shocked, positively shocked you'd think that of me." Barry is surprised--I don't think he'd expected that kind of smartass remark f

Nicely done chapter...Alex is in good shape, dad's on board, and there's a quiet ally in the principal. Good job!
-
Great chapter! He'd developed quite the measured response, and came out on his own terms, despite the fellow player outing him. Really nice to get inside both Zander's and Andy's heads...but suspect he's gonna have some explaining to do--did he ever finish the sidewalk he's originally started before going to church? (Grin) Another well done chapter!

Helluva coming out! Davin has lots to sort out, and his departure leaves plenty of options for the plot; is he headed to Alex's to talk things through? Parker's to extract revenge? Just trying to clear his head by aimlessly wandering the streets? You've crafted a fine set of characters and an interesting plot line...and I just read your respinse to Jonathan (below)...your responses really clarified what's going on. I'd completely missed that Sean died in a car accident, or that he'd met Annabell. (Where the hell was my head?!?! Obviously need to re-read!) Your comments to his review really helped! It's a solid tale you've got underway, and it's great to get your view of the story's background/direction. Now, where's that next chapter!?!? (Grin)

After setting us up with the threat of a major brain injury, it's a relief to have Trey on the phone. What a well-done cliff-hanger! Although there's the unknown issue of PTSD lingering. And the issues of Mark's sister's response/motives. Such a well done chapter--looking forward to more!

Head down, running low.... Obviously, Jerome's depression/fear/insecurity is still running rampant--he's escaping rather than dealing with the loss of the relationship. Rob's return is certain to contain fireworks! Looking forward to the rest of the tale...good job at reeling us in!

Yippee! All caught up--and it was DEFINITELY worth it! You've taken me on an emotional ride of depression (over the insanity Andy had growing up with Dad and Uncle and Trucker) to happiness (Andy and Zander's budding relationship) and points in between. (Andy's note on Zander's valentines card melted me like runny chocolate). You've built a whole galaxy of characters I've grown to love--you can bet your ass I'll stay current on the story! Now...where's that next chapter?!?!?

Chapter 38: Christmas Eve
Robert Rex commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 38: Christmas Eve
A thoroughly moving chapter without bein maudlin. First seeing him buy gifts for others, then praying for others before himself--well, Andy is certainly growing emotionally as well as proving himself intellectually. Well done writing and rapidly advancing the story--you did a great job here! -
"It’s exhausting to know you could be a target every second of the day." That one line is a stroke of genius on your part--a perfect summary to the caged, trapped boy's life. But, with Andy now meeting Zander, his classes giving him some self-esteem, and his weekend jobs taking money pressures away, I'm hoping this is the start of a turnaround. Hell, I'm exhausted from just reading all this stuff about Andy--imagine having to live it! As for Zander, he's certainly diving into the coming out process. Not only did he surprise his folks (who were absolutely model parents on this!), but he's moving forward quickly to tell his friends. I'm hoping that all goes well, especial with Zak, since he seems to be perhaps his closest friend. I'm all out of "likes" today (10 chapters at once will do that!) but this chapter deserves it. You covered a lot of territory in just one entry--and perhaps shown a turning point in Andy's life. Incredible job!

Damn, damn, damn....when is Eric gonna get a break? Just as he starts to settle into a routine, and maybe pull things together, the shit hits the fan. The one bright spot in all this is Eustace and his family. And maybe Toby--time will tell. Great job on the story so far...just ready for things to go right for Eric!
-
Really a hot chapter--both physically and emotionally! You covered a ton of territory with this chapter. Particularly loving the trust/emotions between Cory and Efrain, and how they're both hitting the best "hot spots" in each other. Can't wait for the next chapter. Damn fine writing here.

Certainly an interesting period in Toph's life--a lot of firsts! Remarkably, for so much self-revelation, he's handling it all well. (Not everyone handles that sort of analysis well.) In fact, that's the thing I'm finding most interesting about Toph; he analyzes everything. Perhaps too much so. Is there any room in his life for spontaneous action? You've painted a great portrait of Toph, filled with nuance and detail. Really enjoying this tale! MORE!
