While this didn't pop in my notifications it was a lovely surprise nonetheless. Trout's predicament reminds me of university when I would be with the fratty boys and the queers ine the same place. I believe in him though haha.

Whew these last 2 chapters have really touched me somewhere deep and mushy. Everyone is growing and having feelings and nobody is a pure psychopath. Whew made my eyes sweat a little.

Oh yeah I agree, but I don't think of psychopathy as the nature incapacity to empathise, but as a learned method of turning off empathy and remaining in that state so long it becomes a habit. You are of course right that it doesn't necessarily mean they stay that way or that it isn't just a factor of the situation. I think just how difficult it is for me to read it and connect to that kind of violence also makes me want to imagine it's atypical and not just a behaviour elicited in certain circumstances. I'm glad you recovered from that experience though, it sounds quite horrid having to live that way for any amount of time.

Whew, finally, its not Donny 100% doing better but at least he knows he is messy which is a start.

This ending is my favourite part of the whole series as everyone's maturity really brings the story together so naturally and beautifully. Thorn really gifted us a beautiful work of art.

I'm loving this experience of being so far back and not knowing what is currently happening. I feel like I can begin seeing where Nick and Dave may not totally be in sync and where problems may arise later. Looking forward to catching up though! -
I'm a little mad your dastardly plot involves everyone being incapacitated or compromised but Kep really won my heart as a competent saviour this chapter so I'm happy

Yeah the fact that Loz is not only forcing his version of reality but so much so that he cannot acknowledge any alternate realities is extremely disturbing. I think I'll let the struggles play out because these feeeeelinggsss!

Wooooow honestly I did not expect this and it is so real! I'm still processing the whole thing, especially Tania, but it killed me inside a bit knowing how real that aspect of the story frequently is. Thank you for telling this story!

I wanted to like Loz but honestly he is just a horrid person. I think letting your personal demons attack others is several steps too far. Im not sure if he can even atone for this honestly.

Lol leave booze out of it, Donny is making ridiculous choices by himself. I do think his character flaws make sense for someone who has had to constantly defend his identity and isn't really in a very diverse community. He makes a lot of terrible assumptions and leans towards defensive toxicity as a coping mechanism. I still think he and Shane deserve each otber though (in all the good and bad ways). I can see them being the key to each other's healing.
