I just feel like the mishap there makes sense and Donovan was right to feel his feelings. On the other had though, he did hump Shane without consent (and I'm still disturbed he cannot imagine a world where that was wrong). Regardless Donovan is more wrong in this scenario, so I guess I wouldn't fault them for getting together again even if they both have lots of work to do on themselves.

I think I love how delicately you are handling the abusive relationship dizzy's mum is in. I think it is so easy to calm out emotional and physical (etc) harm and violence when you don't take conrext into account. It's so easy to miss the signs and see all sorts of relationships as other things until everything goes haywire and the abuser feels invincible.

This series is one the best fantasy series I have ever read and this second book took us in a lot of interesting directions. It perfectly provided so much clarity on the events in the first book while setting us up for the future. The already complex world Cynus built in Book 1 was filled-in here and now, we are right where the characters are: wondering about the fate of the world and the motives behind each characters actions. Nothing is as simple as it seems and I am excited foe the next part of this journey.

And I believe that considering the similarities in how so many races manipulate energy and something Grim mentioned about their potential relation to the Sendar, this was a very necessary choice at some point.

I'm pretty sure Veil eventually got over the logical hurdle just like the ones with slavery, interracial marriage, homosexuality, etc etc. I really liked Kaeral's argument in the last chapter about how the Fedain allow violence in their collective names all the time so direct violence is easily similar.

Oh lord I hope everything goes well but considering the twists thus far, I expect more and more incoming. I'm excited to see what Kohen can do in a battle situation though. He seems extremely competent but I believe the glimpses we have gotten so far are only hints at his true effectiveness.

Or all 3! This chapter was actually really amazing and I love how process with Lance is in tune with Diego's is self realization and his relationship with Sean. I am really concerned about how he just bounces from people to people and sticks his dick everywhere, these are not the qualities of trustworthiness but I'm excited to see the future of everything!

Aaand cue the already less than stellar experience of being familiars lol. I'm a little sad for Prism having to emotionally process and grapple with so much now in his death but I believe in his ability to see the true reality and also Cynus' storytelling

That is true, but in the mean time, besides death, it doesn't seem to be too terrible. I'm just imagining the ricochet orgasms though probably.
