I have two friends who have just invited themselves to stay on my couch for who know how long. Today I had to drive them to RI and back and Marrisa said she would pay me. Now on the night before New Years Eve they got kicked out of the place they were staying, another friend of ours who was being unreasonable. He was getting abused (more mentally than physicly) by his boyfriend and Marissa and Rick were staying there. The boyfriend got wound up and instead of throwing the boyfriend out, he threw M & R out. They called me, ask if the could sleep over and I said sure, whatever. And on the day of New Years Eve it had snowed so Marrisa offered to drive me to the bank so I could cash my check to buy booze. She asked if they could borrow $20 cause they had no money, food & low on gas. I said sure. It was Ricks car and Rick wouldnt get up so by the time we made it to my bank it was closed. We drove around 4 places trying to find a place to cash my check. Couldnt. So I finailly called my bank account and found out that I had $53 in my account. We went to the liquor store and I bought my stuff and gave 20 to them so I only had $9 in my account. I went to another friends house for New Years Eve. Now last night was the second night I let them sleep over and today, before I drove them Marrisa needed to cash her check so I said I would do it at my bank. When I did, she gave me $10! I mentioned the $20 and she said it was payment for driving them around. EXCUSE ME! Ive been letting them sleep at my place, eat my food, kick me off my couch and my computer and I PAID them for driving me around? Another thing, they usually ignore me for 2 months at at time untill they need something, like my couch. This is the 8 or 9th time theyve slept on my couch cause they couldnt go anywhere else. And where are they right now? Partying with with another friend and was I invited? Nope? And when they are done, they are gunna kick me off my couch and my comp, like its thier right. Sometimes I HATE being nice. Anyone else have friends who take advantage of them?

This is way to daunting for me to attempt but it sounds like an awsome idea.

The kiss thing was because he smokes. Even now I make him brush his teeth before we kiss. Chris is so sweet, kind and we get along so well. He accepts all my quirks and I accept MOST of them(the smoking thing I still hate). He did break up with me once, after about 2 months and while he was breaking up with me he was explaining why. I agreed with everything so a week later he wanted to get back together because I agreed with him. But now everything... or most everything, has been going good. Oh her date went semi-ok. They were both married(my friend cant afford a divorce) she found him on a "marrried but looking" site. She sais he was a bit overbearing. There was no second date.

Well, I had given up. The last boyfriend I had, for 2 months, stopped coming to see me after work and started visiting a girl he used to watch strip. Needles to say, I broke up with him and utterly gave up. Then like a year later my friend was going on a date w/ a guy she met on a website and I told her she wasnt going alone but I didnt want to be the third wheel. So we stopped at the college and she found a guy she works with to go with us. So while her and her "date" were drinking and talking, Chris and I walked around the Casino talking and we even danced a bit. I didnt think we hit it off so well but at the end, when we were getting to our cars he actually kissed me. Or he tried rather, he kept opening his mouth and Id pulled away and told him to close it. Twice, before we finialy managed to kiss... more than a peck but not a french. And then he asked me out again. Needless to say I was surprised but I agreed. We'll have been going out for a year on the 30th of Nov... we count the second one as the first date.

I found it in a magazine at work. Even if you only do like 3000 at a time there are thousands of other people doing it as well, so that pound is probably made quickly.

Even though you guys, other than Graeme, havent seen it yet, I did submitt to the anthology so I can answer this one (and not feel guilty). The reason I write is because I have so much stuff going on in my head and the only way to calm it down, at least untill new stuff pops up, is to get it out through writing. In 1 story (Ive only ever completed 4 stories, the anthology one included) my muse will change his ideas 20 or 30 times... in one day. I am currently in the middle of 3 stories, though one is for the Young Writers Group I run at my local library. Ive rewritten one of those stories, 3 times, and Im only on page 14! Dontcha ever want to strangle your muse. *sigh* Yes, reason I submitted in the anthology is because I want to be read. I like to know what people think, how people react to my stories. It ticks off one of my friends cause whenever I have her read one of myne and she laughs, I always ask "What?" and interupt her.

"The God Eaters" by Jesse Hajicek Really good! This is my 4th time reading it. From Amazon: It confronts many issues faced by society in a very subtle fashion, but also tells a gripping tale.
