I can see a number of strategies to use against Dottie. Damaging her power base in Kulai City by allying with the aliens who oppose her. Her main resource are her agents in the time streams. Lure them to static streams and abandon them there.
The ultimate weapon would be turning her own tactic against her and frame her for crimes. Using the enemy of my enemy theorem, set Hoover on her.
Dottie is overconfident. Not surprising. She has the resources of a country behind her and Hugo is one man. She also knows the history of past AOI masters. The thing is, they weren't Hugo and he has a goal which won't be denied. Add in Madame Woo, shake gently, and we have a potent antidote.
One thing which concerns me is this mysterious Sylerikon. We know so little about it and Hugo hasn't tapped into the information on it yet. I do have a feeling he will run afoul of them at some point. I mean he almist has to if he's willing to do anything to get Alec back.
BTW - I didn't see where Henry delivered Alec's message not to come back for him. Not that the stubborn git would listen.
How typically Brad to plan a half thought out thing like this one. Going out on the water at night is a risk at best. They were lucky Lyn didn't drown.
Dottie is clever, but not smart. Hugo is both. And she is seeing this as a simple linear problem when Hugo has declared war throughout time. She has created an implacable enemy and still imagines she has the upper hand.
The background of Owen's sudden death and the absence of interest and affection from his parents is a double tragedy. It's a wonder Frost isn't more maladjusted.
I suspect GA has popularized the use of compression shorts for those of us who can't be restrained from reading stories in public. At least they can keep more sensitive areas restrained.
Both men are on paths altering their lives to make their relationship more permanent. Todd is in a state of near constant arousal and Frost's normally taciturn manner has warmed to what for him is a jovial nature. It's amusing to watch them coming together.
