    Meh. Hunters use ATVs all the time. Nothing unusual there. Now people showing up with no visible supplies or equipment after being out for a long period? Now that's odd.

    This would be unlikely to work well. Explosives are something I know quite well. Black powder is a low grade explosive. It has a lower detonation rate than more modern explosives and wouldn't shatter the rock as much as say dynamite or nitro. This is why miners used and still use high rate explosives, to pulverize rock. They will be dealing with bigger pieces and trying to distribute it out on the cave floor will only make a surface unstable to walk on.

    I was thinking more in terms of ATVs and a trailer to begin with. All the fall will have to be moved outside and away since there is little room inside.

    Lots of logistical problems to overcome when they return. Pre-positioning the needed equipment and getting it to the site will be a pain.

    The treasure hunt was a bust for now, but they have a possibility to return to later. This also gave Devin and Mac some good experience in a longer term transition.

    My reasoning is if she considered Theodrick's efforts at magic amateurish, Morgana can probably open a portal. We know little of Theodrik, but both Morgana and the demon view him with scorn and his own dabbling caused his death, which validates those opinions. Nathan's gift or curse of dreaming future events indicates they will find a way to open the portal, but his feeling of sadness over the otherwise beautiful vision is cause for concern.

    I had figured the goblings were connected to the presence of the demon, who seems more benign than hostile. Nathan is still lying about the severity of his wound. It may get bad again. They do know someone who might be able to open a portal, but at what cost?

    The problem with the gun is Jeremy is under 18. Even if he was of age, the video had him with it concealed and that requires a CCW in Nevada, although it's an open carry state. Depending on how he got it, there may be federal charges and his parents could be in trouble as well.
