But no more than he's been from the start. The MIB could have pulled the hostage scenario easily at any time.

    Chapter 19

drpaladin commented on Roland's story chapter in Chapter 19

    Chapter 19

drpaladin commented on Roland's story chapter in Chapter 19

@Roland This was a magnificent battle scene. You captured the chaos and confusion along with both numbing fear and staunch bravery. All of our young warriors did well, but Aegir, Lew, and Sigvat stand out. This hoard the Reds were after was intended for Xavier, and now he has it. Are these two lone Alphar the ones banished to walk back to Alphar lands in Kandric's tale?

    Chapter Ten

drpaladin commented on Mike Carss's story chapter in Chapter Ten

Brohm and Theodrik have reached a tentative truce. With hardheaded Brohm, it's quite an achievement. At least Brohm is trying to quell his quick trigger temper. It's his worst trait. I had wondered why the demon left Nathan behind, but his reasoning is sound and it did work out for the best.

The bigger question is why the Ulaa-Laa was taken out there to begin with.

The Trieste is the most famous bathyscaphe. In 1960, it descended to Challenger Deep (35,814), the deepest known spot in the Earth's oceans.

The agent has a weird sense of humor. Connor is making good progress with his anger issues.

The unexplored areas of the universe are too vast to contemplate. This task seems close to hopeless until they receive a transmission from the Ulaa-Lah. Will this help to find her or is it just the beginning of another long trek?

In its original meaning, bailiwick was the jurisdiction of a bailiff, an official akin to a sheriff in medieval England.
