The only investment either of them have here is a modest amount of time, some hope, and a little gas. We've seen some unattractive aspects to .Ryder's character, obsessive and quick to judge. He knows far more about Owen than Owen knows about him. There is little parity here.

Well, I didn't expect Ryder the Drama Queen there in all his judgmental glory, but he showed up like a black thundercloud at a picnic. This was a severe overreaction and it obviously hit a trigger point with Ryder. This is a Ryder problem, not on Owen.

Erik has found his past and rejected it. I know Erik is good, but nine to two are heavy odds. A spare Fidai or two would come in handy.

We knew this moment would come. Ryder wants to meet. It's comforting he has chosen neutral ground. He's not pushing for a sex romp. Ryder is making Owen see things from a different perspective. Now it's a question of how fast this moves.
