    A Weed

A rose is cut and pruned and forced to bloom on command , to conform and perform. A seed is wild and free to grow and influence wherever it chooses. Seems to me no one here is going to rip it out or discard it, but love and nurture and cherish it. A powerful poem despite the immense sadness it contains.

    Solitary

“ It matters not . Only words do.” And your words matter so very , very much.

    Perigee

Brings echoes to the mind of the esoteric / hermetic principle , ‘ as above , so below ‘ , how we all dance a fixed pattern in our lives and relationships , just like the heavenly bodies do and vice versa.
  4. Got myself a copy, thank you for the link.
  5. Different , but evokes similar feelings as the works of Allen Ginsberg , the need to read out loud fast, faster until the words tumble out in climax ... or a happy ending.

    Goodbye Daddy

    A powerful and empowering work.
  7. ‘Exile(d)’ , usually a word steeped in forced negative and painful emotion. The positive upbeat embracing of the change brought by his exile by the protagonist is really refreshing.

    Chapter 25

    Fantastic story , thank you,
  9. The gyms pretty deserted at 4 a.m. so we pretty much have it to ourselves. I have rheumatoid arthritis , so I need more time , once the pain meds kick in, on all the apparatus . It’s all about Routine , 30 minutes cardio every day then Monday: legs and core, Tuesday : arms and core , Wednesday chest and core , Thursday back and core , Friday shoulders and core . Set your goal , I’m small and thin and like it that way , also like to keep my body fat just below 10%. Well and then there’s the endorphins.... mmmmm! Oh , yes... and I smoke, the best cigarette is the one right after gym.... there’s got to be some fun , you know!

    Maple Drive

Beautiful , all green and gold and despite the sad content, warm and timeless.....
  11. I am not here for the points , but for the art , and writing is Art, of the best kind( mostly) . Recognition of the author, their courage and dedication in posting their creations for our consumption , to me, is vital. As simple as a’👍‘or as powerful as a ‘❤️‘ , or a range of emotions in between. We could after all be spending fortunes for the same enjoyment , we ( I ) derive daily from reading in Gay Authors. Do my comments need to be acknowledged by the authors ? Yes , and most unfailingly do, but the most resounding acknowledgement , of me the reader, is when an author continues to post , to share the creative process .
  12. A beautiful , impassioned and bold eulogy to fallen heroes, if only the world would take note and in remembering also learn.
  13. Wonderful chapter, well worth the wait , thank you.
  14. Awesome imagery, the pallor , strength and enormity of the winter skies build with each syllable and line , then fall gently into light . Two very evocative works.

    Chapter 6

An early post , pleasant surprise. I am a little concerned for Jake . Is reluctant acquiescence the same as consent? Does he really understand the dynamic Klaus is building/leading him into? Klaus remains distinctly suspect , but I’m sure the questions will be answered.

    The Apple

Gosh , decadent , going now to partake in the original sin.

    The Divison

Well as I said in an earlier comment , I can be pleasantly surprised , ergo, Teddy is not the arse I anticipated he would remain . I can’t help feeling that it’s not going to be plain sailing. Mike’s a manipulative bastard and Teddy should keep a close eye on him now that this has been outed to him.

    Chapter 14

Funnily enough, I could handle all the other chapters , despite the dark and sometimes darkly depressing content . This one ... brought tears. People I knew passed on in the 90’s and 00’s, but some found love , commitment and happiness and it lasted.
  19. “ If your dreams don’t scare you , they are not big enough” Anonymous.
  20. Riveting , disturbingly so, left with the same hollow , nervous anticipation that follows reading some of Sylvia Plath’s or Dorothy Parker’s poems . The words feel like they’re sitting right on your skin , it’s that close to home.
  21. Still having unquiet feelings , not only because of the faceless ‘fundi’s’ , but because I still find Brady a little slick (?). I wouldn’t be as forgiving as Nessay seems to be, but then again , he’s probably a bigger person than I am .
  22. Free verse , makes me want to break the obvious rules ... but maybe not all of them and maybe not all at once. Exhilarating writing. Walk is filled with promise ... and to me a little wistful melancholy .

    Chapter 4

Well Klaus’ agenda is clearer , and does not endear him any more than previously . I suspect though that the unstoppable force will soon meet the unmovable object. I quite like Hans.

    Holy Shit

Well that was hectic, had to read it twice ! So far it’s a fantastic read.

    Blu's Prologue

I loved the introduction to Nan, I’ve always felt ‘filters’ are so highly overrated . Gosh , you can’t top a first introduction like, ‘Huh, oh yeah sorry. Um...Hi...I, I’m gay.’ Seems the lack of filters may just be genetic!
