I didn't respond to this originally because of how some of this is addressed in the next chapter. I'm glad that you're continuing to enjoy the story, and I hope War of Hell continues to hold your interest.

Leaving the hospital was an interesting experience. The doctors almost seemed eager to let us go, though on occasion one would shake their head as we passed, showing their disapproval. We were unimpeded though on the entire procession, which gave me a moment to make an observation that was bothering me. “Why was Verina obscuring her features in there? I didn’t see the dragon statue anywhere. Plus, Lucifel and Shatan didn’t seem to have a problem,” I said with confusion as we moved into the e

The lights were brighter than I expected. Eyes that had not seen the light in four months blinked shut almost as soon as they had opened, but the sudden movement had caught the eye of at least one person in the room. Marc was at my side almost immediately, and he was gripping my hand to let me know he was there. I smiled, though I kept my eyes closed and murmured, “Hey there beautiful.” He laughed weakly, and the relief was palpable in his voice. “Hey beautiful to you as well. Glad to see th

Damien awakes in a hospital room surrounded by family and friends when an unexpected visitor arrives to tell him his life is in danger. He enters an alien environment and is left to question who is friend and who is foe.

“More pancakes Damien?” My mother asked with her typical warm smile. I nodded eagerly as she stacked a few more onto my plate. She set it down in front of me and then walked back to the stove to whip up another batch for my father. He was reading the news on his iPad as he always did. I smiled, as I looked between them and wondered how life could really be this perfect. Being fifteen was great. I had plenty of friends at Hamilton High, even a potential girlfriend, and I don’t think I could h

We called Keith back a couple hours after he left, and though he continued to train me, we avoided working on telepathy any more. Keith said it was because he didn’t want to have my thoughts about Marc in his head, and from the look he gave our satisfied selves I believed him. Instead we worked on telekinesis, which was a simpler concept to understand for me, but took more physical energy to accomplish. I was not a natural, though Keith was insistent that I had great potential. Believing him

We ate breakfast together with my father, and then helped with the dishes until my father left for work. Marc and I had avoided showing affection in front of him, just because the relationship was still new to us, but as soon as the front door closed I was all over him. We slowly made our way upstairs and engaged in another passionate bout of making out, though we didn’t take it any further. As we settled into each other’s arms for the second time that morning, I realized that I had managed to p

The morning sun was streaming through my window when I awoke to movement at my side. My first instinct was to recoil from it, but as soon as I got my bearings and found the source of the movement, I relaxed. Marc was curled up next to me on my bed, just as naked as I was. Wait, when did I become naked? I thought as I lifted the covers just to be sure. I was definitely not wearing anything, and I knew I had not done it. The last thing I remembered was hitting the floor after moving my math book.

This was a really fun chapter to write. Even though it was written over a year ago, I still remember when I went through this part. I think you're going to like the next few chapters, and hopefully the rest of the story as well. I promise plenty of turning religious beliefs on their head.

“Whoa there Damien, keep your eyes on the road,” I heard Marc’s voice from the passenger seat, though I still could not see him. My mind blown, I had a hard time concentrating, and it only became more difficult as some force began moving the steering wheel for me. “Dammit Damien! I’m just invisible, get over it. We’ll have a lot less chance of being questioned if they don’t see the shirtless guy riding in the front seat. Now pull yourself together and drive,” Marc’s voice commanded and I too

I'm about to finish another project and then the continuation of these three boys is next on my list. Trust me, we've got some great things in store. Glad you liked it.

Thank you for reading!

Thanks, Lug! If I recall, this is the story that you first talked to me about. I'm glad it's still one you appreciate.

I could easily be the one with the misunderstanding here, but I was under the impression that "Complete" meant it was finished being written, not that it was finished being posted. I suppose to avoid confusion I can go switch it over though.

The next few days went by at a quick pace. I spent my lunches with Marc until Veronica would show up, and he would excuse himself. My afternoons were filled with mixtures of homework and video games with Marc. My life was actually looking pretty good, despite my two new friends not even trying to get along with each other. Apparently neither one was going to make a big enough deal about it to try and convince me not to see the other, and that was fine with me. I was able to learn more about

Maybe this year will be different. Maybe I’ll finally find something to motivate me in my studies and finally be the good student my parents are always asking me to be. This year could be excellent! I could find lots of new friends, or try out for a sports team, and get a fresh start on high school. I think my dad is right, that this new school is going to make all the difference. Or, I could just be living in his deluded fantasy. What difference is it going to make that the scenery is new?

Damien has just been uprooted from his childhood home and is about to start a new life. Little does he know that a war between angels and demons spanning thousands of years is about to be brought to his doorstep.

He was beautiful, or at least some people said that about him. I stared at him from across the pool, unwilling to tear my eyes away from him no matter how much I wanted to. In truth, I wasn’t sure what beauty there was in him at all, but that didn’t stop me from searching for it. I had to find it. It was a matter of life and death. I watched him, with a nearly blank expression on his face that sometimes became a frown. I knew that look. He was thinking of something that was beyond his unders

Across the pool is a boy that I remember from my childhood. A boy that I remember hating for being gay, among other reasons. But I also remember how I came to love him and discover new things about myself.

Loved it! This is the kind of flash fiction I can't get enough of. Well done, Albert.

This is a situation I once pondered getting into myself, actually. I think both Seth and Logan are closer to me than most characters I've written, including the uniqueness of their sexuality. I don't know how many more they have in them, but one more, Underdogs, just posted today. Make sure you ready Dabeagle's story, Dreamcatcher, first. Underdogs needs Dreamcatcher in order to make sense. As for how many stories will be in the series... We'll see. There is at least one more in the works, and after that we'll know.
-
And more coming still.

I can't believe I failed to respond to this before! Well, the good news is that there is more. I'm glad you liked it!

It is strongly recommended that you read Dreamcatcher by Dabeagle before reading this story. Logan’s kissing had progressed to an even higher level than Seth would have thought possible. There wasn’t anything like it in the whole world. Even coffee on a Saturday morning with no school for two days was not nearly as good as the feeling of Logan’s lips on his, and he lost himself in the feeling, letting Logan push him up against the wall and express himself with all the passion that he s

Logan and Seth face some of the realities of their relationship, while Seth makes a new friend, Grayson. Teenage angst runs rampant as Seth tries to find the answer to his unique situation. This story was built out of a collaboration with Dabeagle and his story, Dreamcatcher. It is recommended to read Dreamcatcher before reading Underdogs.
