What is your favorite story on GA, and who is your favorite Author.
Cynus replied to Former Member's topic in The Lounge
Thanks! I'll be here for a long time. GA has been awesome to me so far, and I love it. It's always great to have a new place to post my stories, and a new community to participate in, though the best part is that my library has expanded with more wonderful stories to read. I'm sure my next case of writers' block is sneaking up on me and then I'll have all the time in the world to read the recommendations on this list. -

I'm afraid I'm still exploring GA, since I'm a bit of a newcomer here. Some of my favorite authors from elsewhere on the web post here, and I suppose I could name a few of those. Ricky's "Charged Revelations" is pretty awesome, and I love everything in the Sanitaria Springs set by Dabeagle. Graeme's "Heart of the Tree" is another one of my all time favorites. Though I do wish EleCivil of AwesomeDude and Codey's World posted here, so that I could recommend his story "Laika" which is still my favorite story on the internet. (Wait, did I just break the intention of the question?) -
Every once in awhile I toy with that idea, but I have so many projects rolling around in my head that I don't know if I'll ever get to it. I'm glad you liked it. As the first novel I ever wrote it was a breakthrough for me. I've since written a lot more, but if I had never finished Rumors of War then I don't think I would have finished anything since. Thanks for reading.

Likely much longer than it should.

Oversight is actually partially to blame for that. At the time of writing this I had learned that Hebrew names were actually interchangeable for both males and females. So I assumed that using Lucifel would work just fine. Of course, then I found out that the name "Lucifer" is Latin.

It is predictable. I wasn't the best at building suspense back then, but I like to think that I learned from writing scenes like this and have since been able to provide a deeper setting in my stories.

I look forward to what you think of the rest of it. I was having my fair share of trouble with my parents at the time that I wrote this story, so I imagine that some of that translated to the page.

Fantastic! Chapter 3 is even better.

The momentum gained by the demise of Lucifel was tremendous. The angels did not immediately flock to Lumial and Belial’s shared banner, but they took little convincing to do so. At first they wondered why Michael wasn’t leading the people. Hadn’t he been in the throne room with his sons? Did he die in the explosions that ripped hell apart? Alan was more than happy to give Michael the credit for destroying the ship, and sacrificing himself in the process. Very few angels knew the truth, that

The whole ship was frantic, with angels scurrying in every direction. Belial left us quickly with Mephistel on his heels in order to organize the evacuation. He told us that he would meet us in the docking bay, but to leave without him if he didn’t make it in time. Though the rest of us secretly agreed that leaving without him wasn’t an option, we nodded quickly and let him go his way. They were his men, and his responsibility. We understood. We hurried along the corridors as quickly as we c

Keith stood before the devil grinning broadly, his eyes twinkling in the bright light. Though I still did not share his humor about the situation, I admired his courage, especially when faced with the mask of rage that Lucifel wore. I would not be able to hold the same smile under any circumstances when faced with such eyes, tearing into my soul with unholy fervor. But when those eyes came to rest upon me, I was surprised to find that I didn’t shrink back, but instead I matched her fervor wi

We remained silent about the issue at hand as we made our way to the docking platform. Talking about our plan openly in the halls of the Adam was the last thing that we wanted to do. The purpose of the entire endeavor was to prevent conflict from arising, not causing it by inciting a riot due to plans of alliance with Hell. Nevertheless, a question formed in my mind that I couldn’t let go, and I was grateful when we were finally inside of the smaller ship that would take us to Lucifel so tha

“You want to propose an alliance with Hell?” Raphael was more than incredulous, he seemed furious at the idea. It was the reaction we were expecting, and we had already discussed how to handle it. I had spent our few hours of rest doing little more than staring up at the ceiling in my quarters. Even though sifting through the memories was exhausting in its own way, it had taken no physical toll on me. Instead I was restless and anxious, and I considered taking a walk around the ship to clear

“We need to get him in the pod, immediately!” Lumial exclaimed as he propped me up. The lone doctor on duty seemed completely caught off guard. I couldn’t blame him, of course. I was bleeding all over his pristine floor. “What happened?” He replied, anxious but under control. The anxiety must have come from how young he looked, while his control was what I took as the mark of a good doctor. He advanced toward us, his eyes set on the wound in my side. Lumial took on a tone of impatience a

The Adam bore similarities to both of the other ships I had been on. It was as large as Hell, which made sense considering that it was the flagship of the fleet of Heaven prior to Michael’s fall, but it looked very different. Its décor was more like that of the Abel, Lumial’s ship. Whereas Lucifel’s ship had almost a military level of professionalism to it, as we walked through the corridors of the Adam, I couldn’t help but see that the ship felt lived in. We didn’t see many people, Raphael’

Next chapter is up. And no need to worry about the third book. It's completely finished being written, but I have to space out the chapter postings. Thanks for reading.

I'm glad you're following it so thoroughly. Next chapter is up. Hope you enjoy it.

This time when I woke up inside of a medical pod, I didn’t have to question where I was, or how to get out. I addressed Able almost immediately and was met with an eminent opening of the chamber. As the two halves slid apart, I was immediately aware of the fact that none of my friends were there to greet me. Other than me, the lab was devoid of anything living. It was probably for the better, considering the fact that I was just as naked as I had been when Lumial had placed me in the chamber

We once again made our way to Abel, though this time I couldn’t get out of the palace fast enough. I was extremely unnerved by what the king had said, and I was certain that if I stayed there any longer I would have reason to fear for my life. I quickly outdistanced the others and was waiting at the ship, fidgeting anxiously as I waited for Lumial to catch up and open the hatch. “I’m sorry, Damien, these boots may be great for landings but they are still fairly heavy,” Lumial said in explana

I gazed into the forest of Avalon as it was lit under the full moon and starry sky. Life had taken an unexpected turn, and I wasn’t sure what to make of it all, but for a moment all that mattered was the beauty of my natural surroundings. I didn’t know what it was about the landscape, but the island was having an effect on me that I was grateful for. It was calming, and I was finding that my conviction for what I intended to do was strengthened by the energy of the island. Lumial had left ag

After being betrayed by Lucifel and Shatan, Damien follows Lumial's lead and decides to take the battle to heaven.

A bit of an oversight, I'm afraid. We'll take care of that angle, don't worry.
