Thank you. It is heartbreaking to go by this spot, especially in that cold, bleak time of year when the first snows begin to fall. They never thought their names would be remembered this way. You have been very kind in being patient. I seem to have missed a number of comments this crazy summer.
Never saw it that way, but you have a very good point. Thank you for reading this story, and for your patience. I seem to have missed a number of comments this crazy summer.
You were so nice to take time to comment on these older poems. Autumn is all about change in temperature, air, light, rain...so much change. Our bodies notice it, too. Thanks for reading!
And what is worse, such things happen to real children. They are rarities, but not rare enough. We need to be there for kids in situations like these. Thank you for reading!
Thank you very, very much for taking the plunge and commenting. Your words make writing stories worth the time and effort spent. I know that Andy's story was a dark and difficult one at first. I thank you for sticking with the story to this point. Andy certainly has much to deal with and much to resolve. But perhaps he can begin to do dp these things in us new year. Again thank you!
You have seen us over and over, and touched us deeply in every word you write. We are part of a fleet on the sea, and we can follow each other's sails when our compasses go haywire.
I have been listening to this. William Billings was one of Colonial America's first and most prolific composers. His plain, open harmonies appeal to me right now. This performance is slower in tempo than many I have heard, but it suits my mood.
Somehow I missed this. I do apologize. Thank you for the 'bravo.' I hope that in hindsight, you think it was merited. Scott may be the man we wanted to root for after all.
I had to set this aside because I was traveling, and then come back to it. Each time, I felt captured by the narration, enveloped by the description. Beautifully written, yet it packs a wicked punch. Great chapter!
Thank you for this comment. You are most kind. 'Equal' and 'mirrored' were perfect words for what I hoped to convey: an inexhaustible desire for one's beloved.
You're absolutely right. Memory can convert events into emotions far more potent and durable than the act of forgiveness. That can be a pity and a burden.
You are most welcome. Consent is often something taken for granted both in writing and in actuality. Yet it can be incredibly sexy in its own right. Thanks for reading.
How I love it when you post something I have never heard. This is a particularly moving piece. I had an almost Beethovenesque sense for a moment, but the plaintive flute line reminded me of both year and yearning. Thank you for sharing this.
