It's a good thing that Erik studied not only the laws but the history of King Alexander's family as well. The priest thought he had them all over a barrel, thinking that he would be able to get Seth and Erik's marriage void then Seth would never have been crowned the king. Only he didn't realize that Seth and Samuel are the true sons of King Alexander, when Erik asked the man who scheduled the hearing before Samuel to get the book and then proved to the priest that he was sorely mistaken as to the way that Seth was crowned king and then transferred the crown to Samuel. I hope they take advantage of the fact that they now have the authority to conduct weddings for anyone who is an adult and they're not being coerced in any way.

PuebloI agree with the mayor in that if you don't like who's moving into town and attempting to make things better then the best thing you can do is move and let those who can accept these new people moving in live in peace with them. I think it's ridiculous that anyone would think that just because a person has a different lifestyle than you do would want to molest any child. I hope that they can get Samuel to make a new law about a person's sexual preference is acceptable as long as they follow the laws as a citizen of Royal Valley. I can't wait to read more.
-
I am sure enjoying the story, it seems like now would be a good time to ask Samuel to make it a law to keep people from wanting to cause harm to Seth and Erik and anyone else who might be like them. I think if something like that is put into law by the king then maybe their lives can be fairly normal from then on. Take the law that says any couple of the same sex should be put to death off the books. I think the idea of someone who would be put to death for loving another man if he were a man is uncomprihensable.
-
Ella surprised me when she went off on the lady for even thinking that either Erik or Seth would ever do anything to either Thomas or Edward. The idea that they could or would do anything to any child is ridiculous that thought has never even crossed their minds. Just because they're a male couple shouldn't be a reason for the ignorance that they face at times, the way I see it is it doesn't matter if you love a man or a woman ,as long as you don't go around trying to get others involved with your lifestyle then it shouldn't matter who you love as long as it's true love, like with Seth and Erik and Gabe and Zek.

I believe that if Seth and Erik wanted to adopt a child that for one thing it would have a safe and stable home in which to live. Not only would the child be a distant heir to the throne they would already be considered a part of the Royal families as the child wouldn't be just an heir to the throne in Blethos but also in A'Dore as well. I'm happy that their both open to talking about it and if they decide to adopt a child where would they adopt it from Blethos or A'Dore. It appears that Seth is like Alex in so many ways one of which is making faces to a baby to get them to smile or laugh.

Gabe and Zek are just starting out in their lives together as a couple, and they know it's going to be rough to begin with. I'm glad that Zek's dad is stepping up to help his son and his boyfriend as he's already done it once. Like Seth said to Gabe his father will come around especially having to work with Seth everyday. I'm pretty sure that the guys will be alright when Erik and Seth go to A'Dore. I'm sorry to read of Alex's passing though I'm glad that when he did pass his sons were there with him until the end. I think Samuel and Terry telling Alex that he was going to be a grandfather again put more joy in his heart, especially since Samuel returned to the palace after hearing that Seth was the new King and that he was married to a man, when Samuel found out that Alex was their true father he was overjoyed and he introduced his father to his wife and their son Michael. Alex was very proud to have both of his sons with him along with their families.

It appears that the CO still had a great deal of admiration toward Mitchell even though he was no longer going to be a part of the group he wanted Mitchell in. I think Mitchell has been very busy setting up the training courses for the cadets from the grammar schools to get the training in. It's going to be a very busy time while he takes them through each of the courses.

I'm glad that the Thorne's saga is finished with the beheading of Deena. I'm glad that the widow of the slain gaurd will get some compensation from all of Deena's holdings as they were ordered to be given to his family. Deena sure didn't like the idea that it was ordered to be done, although I don't know why she thought she would be able to use the funds after her death. Of course I can't say that I'm surprised that Deena would object to the order by a judge as her family was nothing more than greedy thieves. I'm glad that Seth is healing more and more all the time. I wish there was something that could be done to stop the progression of the disease that is killing Alex. He finally has both sons back after several years of thinking they were dead as a result of the attack by Arthur Thorne that killed the Queen. Who knows how time he has left but I'm sure that having his family around will help ease his mind as I believe that helps to keep from thinking about the inevitable result of the illness that has ravaged his body. This is a great story so far and I'm sure it will be that way until the end.
-
I'm glad that both Erik and Seth are free and safe, even though they'll have a few bruises and cuts along with Seth's broken finger. I hope they will draw and quarter Deena as I truly believe that is the best way to execute the murdering witch, her co-conspirator needs to be executed as well for not only the crimes he's already committed but also for the kidnapping and assault on Erik and Seth. I'm glad that everything in the cave will be either returned if possible or sold in order to help the town.
-
Deena sure thinks highly of herself doesn't she, I mean how many times does she have to be told she doesn't belong in the palace. The more Erik taunts Deena the madder she gets, I just hope that she doesn't do something stupid to Erik. She's so stupid she doesn't realize that everything Erik is saying is a true statement of facts about her family. Deena's still trying to blame Seth and Erik for her brother and fathers deaths even though they caused their own deaths. I wish that the guards would come busting in and rescue Erik then arrest Deena and her two idiots.
-
The policies of Thorne should be thrown out and then start making new policies which have already been done with some of them. Education for the town is a great idea, it's needed not just for the children but the adults as well. Like Samuel said an educated worker is more productive and the education system will be paid for by a small tax to help the process, as the town is going to need a lot more workers as Seth and Erik plan on lights for the town. This situation with Deena is going to be a real problem for them, but when she's caught they can charge her for starting the fires and she can be put in prison until she's too old to do any more damage. I hope that they find her quick.

Chapter 1 One Year Passes
Butcher56 commented on R. Eric's story chapter in Chapter 1 One Year Passes
I think this was a wonderful way to start the 2nd story of Cinderfella. I like the idea of having a party for the people who live and work in the town of the Royal Valley, the square in the town should be a good place to have it. It's too bad that Alexander's strength is starting to fade away as his illness progresses, I believe that will be very hard for Seth and Samuel when Alex passes away, the entire Blethos population will mourn his passing. I can't wait to read more. After reading this chapter again I can honestly say that the love that Erik & Seth have for each other grows more everyday, I truly believe that they will have a wonderful life together. I believe that Seth giving up the crown to Samuel was the best thing for Blethos as him being king was just too much for him to handle. 🙁 Seth was so stressed out that I think he could have had a heart attack💔. Now that he’s not king anymore and he along with Erik have made a wonderful life together in the Royal Valley as it is now known. Seth is very happy working with the vineyards and the winery as that was the job he had before he had been chosen by Erik and then he was crowned a king 👑. 💜😊 -
This was a great end to this story so far, I know that there's a Cinderfella 2 which I will start right after this. Seth and Erik are now at home in the Royal Valley @ the Royal Vineyard, after having Demetrius, Lucas & Dora redo the Thorne home into something totally different from what it was. I think it was great that they thought ahead and added tanks made of copper for hot water in every room where it was needed. Now there's no need for someone to get hot water for the bath or dishes or even laundry. I believe they'll be happy with the house and the vineyards and the winery, with Seth tending to that part of the business and Erik tending the books and business issues. Thanks for writing this story.

Chapter 7 The Truth and The Law
Butcher56 commented on R. Eric's story chapter in Chapter 7 The Truth and The Law
So it turns out that the choice made by Prince Erik of A-Dore is Seth Thorne who is actually Prince Phillip the true son of King Alexander of Blethos. It looks like a political wedding will take place combining A-Dore and Blethos since it was announced at the Ball. Prince Phillip is a rightful heir to the Throne of Blethos, as the choice of Prince Erik to be the next King of Blethos the two shall be married so that there is no question as to (Seth) Prince Phillip becoming the King. The other comments talk about the need to find Samuel as he is the true brother to Prince Phillip is very much a priority. -
I feel like Prince Erik has things well at hand. His disguise is the most important part of the whole plan in order to find the perfect person to rule Blethos. I hope that he finds what he's looking for. Great chapter

Devon is one of a kind, he has a kind soul when he meets someone he has this inate ability to bring out the good in the person he has just met. Everyone thought that the old ones are evil killing machines, even Devon thought that until he actually spent time with Gizmo. Once Devon met Gizmo he could see the hurt in him and knew that he was forced to do what he did to survive, that included killing someone to get their blood. I can only hope that if they come across one of these in the future that they will be able to refrain from shooting it if it doesn't act aggressive toward them. If they encounter another old one and they're able to capture it they can bring it back to Thornwood so they can study it, with Devon's help of course.

Another great chapter, I'm surprised that Lt Colonial Harding still wants Mitchell in his unit after the comment about not knowing if he would be able to kill another person. I guess being a firearms instructor isn't a bad thing. I'm glad that at least he'll be able to complete his remaining time in the service as a firearms instructor, then be given an honorable discharge on medical grounds. I like the present he got from his parents and his auntie for his 18th birthday. I can't wait to read more about what comes next for Mitchell, I hope he still gets to go to the fire training that he wanted.

Agent Burrows doesn't know what to think about seeing a live vampire. It's going to be interesting to see where this leads.

Wow, how can someone be so damn petty, to not forward the copy of Mitchell's orders and then break into his hotel room and take his copy of the orders. Then on top of it all they have the gall to phone in an anonymous tip to the MP's saying Mitchell was AWOL, I'd be pissed off if that happened to me. The time in the brig was the top of the heap. Mitchell finds out that since this ordeal cost him the first week of fire training he now has to wait until July. In the mean time Mitchell has two different training assignments to do before July. When he arrives at the first one he gets told that the Major has an immediate dislike for him because he doesn't like to be kept in the dark. This is all because of the recent addition of a high top security clearance and the fact that when Mitchell finishes his training there he goes to a secret training facility and the name and location aren't in his records and this upsets the Major, I like that Mitchell finds Warrant Officer Owen's there and he'll be helping with the training. I can't wait for chapter 10 to see if the Major starts any kind of trouble for Mitchell. This was a very great chapter.

Basil must've really meant a lot to Edwin. I think it would be interesting to have a few of the vampires in the area watch one of their own get the 1st injection of serum and go through the pain. This was a really great chapter.
-
I have to agree this has been another great chapter, I was surprised to see that instead of just 1 more medal Mitchell got 2 pinned on by the governor one of them was at the insistence of her majesty the Queen. I'm glad that he's accepted the last offer to join the fire academy for 8 weeks of training and then he will become a part time soldier and part time firefighter. Plus he's moved to a new bunk room for NCO's, and he was asked to come to his old grammar school and give a talk on army life. I want to say keep up the good work Mitchell you'll go far. I also want to say thank you for the great story it's great to read that someone young can do things if they set their minds to it.
-
Things are definitely changing since Gabriella asked Alex to marry her and he said yes. Willie got the third dose of serum and went to the roof with Colin, Devon, Alex, and Gabriella to see the sunrise as usual Willie got the tingling feeling. That's another wedding on the horizon.

Everyone saw the signs of love the first time they met Mark and Stan. Each was totally in love with the other but neither wanted to say anything to the other because of fear of rejection. It took Mark getting beat up to bring these two guys to finally tell each other how they felt. Of course George was the Dr that was to be the one who attended to Mark. George, Colin and Devon had to tell Stan how much Mark loved him before he caught on to what they were saying. The teams from the VUN have their work cut out for them. I'm glad that Alex was with Mark when he was attacked because he was able to get the complete description of the attacker. Now that they have a description they're able to do a better search for the biker vampire who attacked Mark.

Wow, Mitchell is becoming increasingly popular with not only the army, Royal Engineering Corps, SOC, and SAC, after going from a private to Lance Corporal just after basic training he's asked to become a member of the engineering Corps and once he joins that he goes through the high altitude jump from 25000 ft. Then he gets to his assigned company and is then involved in the training for the first mission he'll be involved with, Mitchell is told he would be one of the paratroopers who will jump into the training compound. Once there he finds out that his old grammar school is one of the school'staking part in the training. After the training ended for the day Mitchell went to inform the command staff that with the lightning in the area it would be wise to set up a fire watch, the order was given and rightaway there's a fire started. He's given operational command over the fire fighting crews and ordered them to do what they must to stop the fire from moving toward the training Academy and the National Park as well as farms in the area once they finish that he and his Sargent return to the academy and he's informed that the CO was in another building, he walks in and finds out why everyone is there, it was to thank him for a job well done. Afterwards they head to the mess hall to eat and Mitchell notices that there were others at the CO's table after he gets sat down and starts to eat he's called to the front and he receives the Australian Fire Service Medal and a Distinguished Cross for the exceptional work he did to prevent the fire from spreading and having it out before any other fire department could get to the academy grounds. After the medals and the promotion he does an about face in order to return to his seat and sees his aunt just 5 meters from him he already has tears in his eyes and seeing her was just the icing on the cake at the time. The two of them return to where he was sitting and found that room had been made for his aunt to sit down and talk to him for a bit, she kind of scolds him for not telling her that the training he was going to was for jumping out of a plane at 25,000 ft. She tells those around them that if she receives a call of Mitchell doing something dangerous they'll all get their rears tanned by her. The next morning while he was doing his duties in the planning building the governor comes in and we'll have to wait for the next chapter to find out what happens with the governor.

Burke had Devon and Colin kidnapped just to see if he could trust them. Then just when Colin was really starting to feel the pains of hunger for blood the only person near him that he could feed off was Devon and he vowed he wouldn't do that to him. Devon knew Colin wouldn't bite him in order to feed so he gave himself to Colin out of love and on that basis alone did Colin turn Devon into a vampire. After a few days stay in the Ozarks they returned to Charleston where Devon's mom (Betty) figured out that he was now a vampire like Colin, Gabby, and George. As far as a honeymoon for the newlyweds it's a ways off as other things start taking priority. I'm happy they had such a nice wedding that the grooms mother and daughter did the majority of the planning for the ceremony.
