I can't see the house, but i know what a house is. I would have drawn a house and a walkway. I just cannot visualize it in my mind. So this doesnt affect my imagination but it does explain why i sometimes felt frustrated when people said they could see things and i couldn't. I don't think it affects anything but visual imagination.

i was reading something in a newspaper today that got me looking. I've always wondered why people would say things about what they see in their mind's eye. I see nothing and thought they were just nuts. lol I ended up here: https://creativerevolution.io/aphantasia-a-blind-minds-eye/ It is interesting.

no.. i see nothing even if i try there's nothing ... i only see like black. Even if i try to see a colour there's nothing. i read about this today... and i never knew any different. i was surprised when i read people can see colour or images.. i never have. it's called Aphantasia ... it not an issue, just means it's different for me and others like me. it sort of explains a few things. i always thought people saying they can visualize things as odd.. like what are you talking about. Lol.

Weird day so far. Have a question ... if you're asked to close your eyes and visualize a sunset, what do you see when you do that? This isn't a trick question... i'll explain why later.

This is a wonderful chapter. We learn more about Mike; a chef and a man who isn't afraid to ask for what he wants. We learned as well, that Nam is a good friend who supports Jamie in a big way. I like how you develop these characters amid the chaos of the job Jamie and Mike have to do. Well done.

Give me a real human being, and not a fluffed up version of what you see when you look in the mirror every morning when you feel like you’re on top of the world. It gets old very quickly, trust me. Anyway, just keep in mind that conflict is interesting. Even inner conflict. You want to hold the attention of a mixed audience? Make your flaws your treasures when you’re writing. It always creates a bond between your story and its readers. Every time. K? Yes, thanks for this. Real is so much more interesting to both read about and write.

Yeah, still a fan. The first film was the best for me. It just seemed to capture the X-men vibe and humour perfectly. However, i still watch them all. -
Grrr. I hate Canada Post! My package was to be delivered today.. i checked the status.. it was Notice Left... went to check the mail box reason: unable to deliver, no one home. I've been here all morning! Lazy good for nothing morons. So now i have to wait until Monday to go over to the post office and pick it up. Sent an email to the company...thanking them for their good service but please consider not using Canada Post.. never had issues with Fed Ex... grrrrrr You cannot complain to Canada post unless you call them and they'll just BS you, as per usual. Overpaid and lazy unionized morons. 'K i'm done now. (This reminds me of the Royal Mail.... ) k now i'm really done.

He does have it bad! The flirting and action is well done ... as is this whole story. It only gets better.

My sapphire, my gem, the best crewmate ever. Oh, Jamie, you're falling for that Special! You're doing a great job showing us this new relationship. I think Mike is putting it out there and saying he's interested. The police procedural stuff is written in an interesting way as well. Great job so far!! Looking forward to more!

It's Thursday ... i was tired when i went to bed, and i slept but was awake waaaay too often. It was too warm and the February worthy quilt was the reason, lol. Oh well, gonna bake some kind of pumpkin/apple loaf today and i think Danny has cleaning plans and i am going to try and write a bit. The 22 chapter story is in editing atm, the 7 chapter one is nearly finished and a shorter piece is also... pending are poems for the anthology...they've been sitting a while so, i need to have a look at them in March to make sure they are worthy of posting. One of the completed stories will go to Premium, if it's worthy of that. So, i'm staying out of trouble. Have a great Thursday everyone...

Wonderful beginning. Being openly gay in the police is challenging, but Jamie doesn't seem to be the type that shies away from the truth. Excellent opening chapter. Looking forward to the next!

Yeah, we don't want to be cruel to sharks. I considered being nastier to the General because if anyone deserved it, he did. I chose not to, as this piece was meant to be a story on the lighter side. Thanks for reading this short story, @Lee Wilson and for your comments.

Good morning! Hope everyone is doing well. I am doing okay. It's warmer and the sun is shining out there. i'm feeling a little bored and restless for some reason. Not enough to do .. hand issues make knitting sessions short, but i can still get some done. Then hand issues make everything harder. I motor through most things, or have to wait while someone helps me. Typing isn't too bad. So write you say? I would if my hands could dig something worthwhile out of my brain... LOL Anyhow, whatever you get up to today.. enjoy it!
