It's finally Friday! I read this but had to read it again...and think about it. I ended up agreeing. LOL

I'm not sure which is more entertaining, the story or the comments! In any case, this is another excellent chapter in a wonderful story. The powers that be walk over everyone roughshod, as they are wont to do. Jamie and, ultimately, Mike are left picking up the pieces and trying to find a way to remain together. Mike is in the dark and can only trust his partner. Jamie has some understanding of the situation but is not in the same ballpark as Morris-Walker and Mwangi, who play for opposing teams. As noted by @Paladin ... it is a tangled web, one I enjoyed when I read it the first time and now for the second.

You're right. i do feel happier and more content. i'm definitely less stressed. Thank you for your support as well. I value it very much ... and not just because of the love of donuts we share, as great and amazing as that is.

Thank you, chris. i feel happier and am more relaxed. i get more exercise and sleep better for the most part. Also, thanks for your support. i think most of the authors on GA feel the same way.

So, as some of you know, I stopped working on September 1, 2023. I didn't really retire; I can't do that for twenty-fourish years, but I did quit doing paid work. I realize I'm very lucky to have this opportunity. I am grateful to my Husband, Michael, for making that happen. So, what do I do with myself? Not a lot. I spend time at home, looking after the house, and with spring here, there's the garden, which will keep me busy. I've completed a few knitting projects and have started to make my first sweater. That's fun. I will try to read more completed works on GA. Authors need support and feedback. I've blogged about this before, but authors should support each other the best we can. I've written a bit and hope to write more poetry. I posted five for the 2024 poetry Antho. I'm working with an editor on a longer piece, which is complete but still in editing. I've started another dystopian-type piece, which I hope will be ready for the anthology in October (I think). I've also edited a story with a new GA author, which has turned out to be an excellent and well-told story with the help of another GA author who beta-read. Not working has been good for my health, especially my mental health. i have been thinking about what more i can do. i'm happy to help around GA. i hope to post more. i'm also considering volunteer work and looking at options. I know many people have no choice but to work. I felt some guilt about that, and I still do, but hopefully, my job went to someone who needed it.

I posted my submission. I've had a couple of budding poets reach out to me directly and i hope they will post their work also! It's great to see more people writing poetry and a special anthology for it. Thank you!

it is nice .. i enjoy writing the same characters in different situations... mostly they are comedic shorts. Lots of fun to do.

Read this over breakfast. I liked it ... yes there's a but ... it just felt a bit long. But that's just me. Still funny and sexy. i wrote a series of vignettes like these and they are enjoyable to write. Short stories and series are. Keep up the good work, my friend!

Late as per... but anyway. i liked this one, a bit different to the first, but that's okay. i don't want to read the same thing over and over where the only difference is the day of the week or they're on vacation.

Just needed time to process. i was all doom and gloom at first, but some time, some sleep makes things better. i will just leave it alone. Peter needs to be the one who says something first. If he doesn't, he doesn't. He's a grown man, a doctor, who i hope is more mature at work. in any case, i have some poetry to work on and some stories ... and new bread pans to use! Happy Monday. Tomorrow would have been my late Father-in-Law's birthday. My MiL wants to go out to dinner tonight at a place he loved to go. He was Ukrainian and loved that country's food but he enjoyed the foods of many other cultures that Toronto offers. So, we are going to Mother's Dumplings, a favourite place of his, tonight for dinner. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.

I don't enjoy stories about teens. However, this was not the norm. This is a beautifully crafted story with a slow and realistic burn. The characters are honest and real. You cannot stop reading until the words run out.

i hated in class stuff .. online for me anytime. Some training was done via Microsoft Teams and that's fine if the facilitator kept control over the class.. That rarely happened so it became a frustrating experience. However, the only classes i would take now would be of my choice. You'll figure it all out. I'd get donut delivery written into my contract.. lol. Fingers are crossed. Hope your weekend was good one. Have a great week!!

I still love this line: Reality banged against the door of the hotel room my brain had retired in. This chapter, well, it's great, and I have nothing more to say beyond that at this time. Nothing other than tighten your seat belts!
