He could be using turmeric for its health benefits. Lemon and turmeric are good for your liver. Some folks add a bit of turmeric to nearly everything they eat. But if you are on blood thinners or aspirin.. and you're thinking of doing that.. talk to your doc or pharmacist first cuz it can mess with some drugs. It's so humid i wish it would snow!! LOL I've just been frying a ton falafel.. i'm hot now.

i've tried writing my story and i can't, not in story form because it's not a story, it's my life. Was my life. i did write some of my experiences in short pieces. They are here on GA. i think i am still trying to write it because that guy appears in some shape or form in everything i write. Another interesting article. Thank you.

Thanks, chris. My last day will be August 31, only work doesn't know it yet! Wow that is insanely long in order to see a doctor. It's very easy to see dentists here, no waiting really maybe a few days. The government doesn't cover dentists at all, except (and i'm not positive) if you end up in hospital and need to see one on an emergency basis. It can be very expensive if you don't have private health insurance or insurance at work. i am looking forward to not doing my job anymore. Though it's weird because i'm so used to doing it. i think the first month, I'll just do nothing really. Maybe think about what i will do with my time going forward. i have a feeling the house is gonna be pretty clean! lol Anyhow, thanks Chris. You and your guy look after yourselves.

Doctors... Michael called to make an appointment cuz he needs his meds. He called, the recording said, please leave a message and we'll try to get back to you in the next 48 hours. GP's as are as scarce as hen's teeth around here. i can usually get in to see my HIV guy without much problem but forget the GP. i hope you can find a ride.

well happy friday.. nothing like a good dental cleaning to get the day started! Then we went to the grocery store and came home $180 poorer. omg.. groceries are an insane price. We didn't buy anything much.. and no processed stuff, only baked stuff was bread, no sweets or pop. We just drink tea, iced tea (unsweetened) and water/soda water and the occasional decaf coffee. Tomorrow i am making spinach pie, hummus, and falafel (with homegrown parsley), we'll have that with sweet peppers and tomatos and pita. Should be good. I made a dentist appointment for a Tuesday in October .. my first 'i'm retired and can go when i want' appointment. LOL

We came in a little while ago, didn't see anything. Usually you have to be more north than we are. But those folks who are are lucky!

Krista is right, privately is the best way if you don't know someone. It's what i've done in the past. Some authors here only write for fun as a hobby and want to tell their story their way. They may or may not want to hear criticism or see an error that's been noticed posted for all time in the comments. A PM to someone is thoughtful and civilized. i came from a site where reviews and criticism were done, so i was a bit surprised not to see that here on GA. However, it was all about improving people's writing and stories. I've come to see GA as a melting pot. There are people from everywhere, with all levels of education, people whose first language may not be English, authors who only write for fun and those who want to publish, and we are all here for the love of writing and a strong supportive community (including beta readers and editors who give their time freely). Now, i really only stopped in to find my way to the next story ...

i still have a few weeks to go and I'll do the same job as i do now but it will be easier cuz i know it's only a month and a half to go. So i better get myself to bed. Night Reader xooxoox

Yeah i do. Dan has roses like my mum did. it's nice and yeah being outside is restful. Gardening is so far away from computers and idiot customers. i had a bunch today and long idiotic meetings. i won't miss it. Michael said i can give my notice mid August cuz He's making enough to support us. i cannot wait.

no... people work hard on their stories, good or not. They are just doing what they like to do. Some will appeal, some wont. Sometimes people will ask you what you think. So you can talk to them. i came here from a site where they did reviews and things. But even there, i didn't read things like i do here. They get our souls for free and they have no decency.

Sadly it took us a long time in Canada. Dressed up human experimentation. Disgusting.

yes it would be dogs can be dangerous but they are also great .. i hope it works out

don't know why it bothers me but it does.. most writers here are amateur.. and people think that's means bad.. Amator.. latin means to love. they just want to tell their story.. if you want professional writing and standards then spend your money and buy a book.

You know, the more i am on GA, the less i think i should be.. not in here. But the comments people make some times. Like even on this site you're never good enough and too many are ready to stab you and put you down.

That was our whole summer last year. It was horrible! So far it's not been anything like that hot. Geez.

i'm liking Dan's house too. i hope we get to stay. We had a window AC in the apartment but the laundry was down stairs. But this is much better. Plus i have both Michael and Dan, and a nice backyard. i don't want to give any of them back. This is for tomorrow because today sucked big time.
