  1. it's one of Sasha's recipes. so little sugar and lots of oats
  2. yeah.. any fruit you like would work i think.. i need to make crackers and cream cheese strawberry muffins
  3. Nothing wrong with the ones you like at all ... they are all really good for you. We enjoy roasted albino brain ... Michael found a HUGE one at the store the other day and we roasted most of it last night. It was great.
  4. Thank you for letting us know all is well. Take care of yourself.
  5. you can shallow fry them.. they are just not the same baked.. i'd never change that myself. but i dont eat them all the time.
  6. yeah you can buy dry ones at the grocery store.. i buy them all the time..
  7. They are a bit of work, but worth it i think. This woman does it right... https://www.themediterraneandish.com/how-to-make-falafel/ Canned chick peas is not the way to go.
  8. Right? Yeah, i love them too. I make them from scratch sometimes.
  9. i will find/make one that's good. I love falafel and i'll make those if i have to. They are simple to make from scratch. The point is not to have to serve meat at every meal. When i make burgers i add ground beans, pinto or white kidney to ground beef. Michael is happy to eat them so, I'm happy with that. But the price of meat is idiotic so, I'm looking for a vegi option that i can make as something we can enjoy from time to time.
  10. veggies are our friends... and i am gonna make those lentil burgers from Sasha's site. I'll make them smaller like falafel .. .mmmm. Michael groans at me.. but He loves vegetables. We've been reducing our meat intake and as long as there is some and lots of veg, He's happy. I've never found jicama here locally.. Mmm, I will check wally world next time i order from there.
  11. Faris being Scottish just happened. You know how that is. Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  12. Thanks again, Reader. it was nice to write them again. xo
  13. Thanks dugh.. it's been awhile. Thanks for reading and for your comments.
  14. Thanks, molly. I'm glad you liked it. Faris knows he done wrong.. LOL. xoxo
  15. Thanks, Reader. I'm glad you got a couple of laffs out of this one.
  16. I added this one to Delicious ... the Faris and James stories... The Flowers
  17. "Flowers? Okay, what do you want?" I watched my sexy husband as he struggled in the vestibule. I’d gotten up from the sofa and peered down the hall. Faris juggled a huge bouquet of flowers, an umbrella and two sacks of groceries. “Help would be nice, to begin with.” Faris grinned then. “Some hot sex later, I’d appreciate that, James.” Putting my book aside, I moved to help out. “I’m sure you would. Not sure flowers are enough to tempt me though.” “Oh, that’s nice!” Faris
  18. Mmmm, i bet they'd be nice done on your bbq!! I am going to roast some lil taters in oil and lemon and we'll have tzatziki and a salad with them.
  19. Went out onto the balcony, which now has NOTHING on it and cleaned up all the mess the balcony painters left behind ... 'we scrape off all the rust and old paint and repaint but we don't clean it up' Gotta love that. So when i went out to have some iced coffee in the breeze ... i'm like.. what is all of this? There was like two cups of crap out there. So i swept it up and got rid of it. I guess we can put the garden shed (mini rubbermaid cupboard for the outdoors) back out there. But Michael hauled all the junk that was out there down to the garbage. So it's empty now.
  20. They look good.. nice and golden brown.. not sure how they taste yet.
  21. The greek spices and flavours ... I found it here and marinated them for just over 24 hours... Greek Chicken Thighs
  22. i don't blame you, i think you guys have a lot more options than we do. And it is very hard to find local or north american garlic, even though we grow it here. But frozen, it's just like custard.. very soft and you could mash it with a fork. Still tastes and smells good. We'll get it used up. Maybe I'll make some curry paste. Michael and i love curry so i make the paste and then freeze it into pucks in silicone muffin trays.. pop them out and into a freezer bag. I did that when i wasn't working from home... the spices/flavours are done and Michael could easily make the curry without me.
  23. Used the first of our frozen garlic yesterday. Wow, it was so easy to peel and mash up, i may just freeze it all the time. We have a LOT of frozen garlic. I ordered one head of garlic from Wally World Groceries and they sent 16. Michael and i spent a little time in the kitchen that day, breaking them up into 2 to 4 clove pieces and freezing them but it was really easy to use it straight out of the freezer. Just sharing in case you decide you need to buy 16 heads of garlic. 🧄
