  1. Wow, watching the Euro's (soccer) with Michael today when suddenly Denmark's top midfielder collapsed. Like a stone. Players on both teams calling for help ... they worked on him for .. well it felt like forever. CPR and then electric shock to get him back. Horrible to watch. Just heard he's in hospital and stable for the moment. F'g freaked me out ... his poor wife was there.. god.
  2. i hope there will be cake! i really want cake... 🍰
  3. A wonderfully written story. You find yourself hoping Craig's life will improve but it's not looking good. Mawgrim takes us on a road trip most of us rather not end up on. Craig has come to accept life as it is but fate isn't yet finished with him. This piece definitely deserves a part two.

    Joe

Another lovely tale. Mmm, Pete is a law unto himself but his life is shared with Russell and it's an honest one. Sex is not love and Pete will always go home with his husband, who is the man he loves. I'd love to read more about Jake and Joe. It would be wonderful to watch Joe as he accepts himself. He may never be Pete ... but many of us aren't. And that's okay. Thanks for this Wayne.
  6. I started to listen to classical music to help my depression. My doc suggested it.. the station i listened to also played some opera.. that's where i first heard the The Pearl Fishers Duet. i find it helpful for reducing stress
  7. i guess that's pretty close to all the musical places like St Lawrence Centre and stuff.
  8. She's at Merchant's Wharf at the foot of Sherbourne St.
  9. Yes, writing anything short takes skills. Many don't have them. You need to be able to build a frame the reader can see and easily fill in. Good luck in the contest. If you want me to read it.. you can send it to me. I've written something, and think another author who shall remain wayneless may have too.
  10. Hmmm... well, some of you may not know, i am a fan of classical music and some opera. I was looking for something from Jonas Kaufmann .. and ran across this. i looked at it and thought, that's Toronto ... and it is, right downtown on the lakeshore. This wonderful soprano, Teiya Kasahara, who is queer, made 19 of these for people during COVID: And this duet is my favourite thing by these two and the one from Bryn Terfel and Andrea Bocelli as well. This is the Pearl Fishers Duet, the part of the opera where these two friends share what nearly drove them apart and their pact to not let it happen again:
  11. haha loved it ... showed it to Michael who said.. that's a hobbit villl.. wait those are mice! .. so cute..
  12. And remember.. less is more... use a small wedge first .. squeeze it over your plate.. if you want more add it.
  13. citrus brightens flavours.. especially using fresh juice. Don't choose dark green limes, buy the lightest green limes. Squeeze when they are at room temperature. (I have microwaved them for a few seconds...)
  14. See the family lying dead on the ground Their crime that night going out for a walk Was religion the reason for your displeasure? Ironic your sin was not cause for a balk Can we let him, among us walk; the one who chose that day to kill? Did his God send him, to take his measure? Mowing them with a truck took no skill Can such a wrong be righted? Will an eye for an eye pay the cost? Can he now repent in leisure? No
  15. No, he was legit, but they should let you know they're coming. This was a service issue i put in, in late March, they are just now getting around to it. Seriously, they want speedy action to reply to customers.. yet.. this is how long it takes them to address tech issues. My boss reached out to some tech guy he knows.. said try this. Worked perfectly. I got a survey a few weeks ago.. what should we change to serve customer's better. I said you need to get rid of Internet explorer and give us tech that works. That's what lets down service.
  16. On a Microsoft Teams meeting ... some guy i dont know pops up on Skype.. oh can i connect with you? I said i'm in a meeting. So after the meeting is done.. I said how can i help you? He says oh i need to connect to your laptop. I said why, who are you? .. no reply. I said.. i have schedule to keep.. i'm on my break.. see you at 2:20... geez nothing about who he is or wtf he wants. well.. you can wait then.
  17. that risotto is truly amazing ...
  18. oh i love that... haha Our IP is oldish.. go for the 6.
  19. We have the 5 quart one ... it's enough for Michael and me.. though if we're making stew it be full to the top.. but it's enough. We did find having two liners helpful on the odd occasion, especially if i make stew and then chili on the same day.

    The Farm

Aw, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  21. We had a few russett potatoes which i put in the IP to cook a couple of days ago. I did 5 medium ones. It took 14 minutes. They were buttery and tasted amazing. If you rather have a crispier skin, you can remove them at about 12 minutes and stick them in the oven at 400f. But we had a chicken Cesar and a 'baked' potato for dinner. The left over taters can be sliced and fried or warmed up again. As the potatoes needed natural release (just being left in the IP for 15 min or so) there was no steam to release. So no heat in the kitchen. Michael looked at me when he tasted one and said, OMG these taste amazing.
  22. thank you know what that is over ... i am tired... nothing simple today ... IP mac and cheese with cauliflower.. with asparagus and a few meatballs.. that's dinner... most i can do in the IP .. since its 100f here today.. lovely
