How Max felt was hard to figure out. i could only go by how i felt when i lost my mom. But i wasnt in a wheelchair nor was i completely alone in the world. So i think while i'd be crushed by the loss of my family, Don and Louis and what they offer would be a bright place. But i'd have to go there slowly. Thanks Kitt.. xo

these are good Parker. My favs are the simpler final two in the collection. We are lucky to have cardinals ... they are jewels against the snow and greenery.

Gratitude for us is a more formal thing. There are 'things' we do, like greeting our Dom properly. While others may not want that, i think we should all show our gratitude to others in our life, show them what they do for us, has meaning. Thanks for reading Parker.. i appreciate your comments. xo -

I can see how it felt so final but it was a lovely and so right thing for you to do. Yeah, there is always a but ... my mum died 20 years ago and i feel it still. When i see certain flowers or on her birthday. It's easier to deal with but it never leaves, nor will you want it to , i don't think. many hugs xoxo

Thank you very much, Jeffrey. Yes, there is nature around us, in that there are trees and parks. I guess you sort of have to reduce down what we have. There are no mountains, or open fields or woodlands for example. There is wildlife, like squirrels, mostly gray and black but in recent years some red ones. Feisty little things they are! But we have seen the odd fox and a couple of years back a deer! We see nuthatches, chickadees, and several types of woodpecker, blue jays and cardinals as well as sparrows, starlings and crows. Hawks now and again too. So there is nature but just a bit citified... thanks for reading... sorry about blathering on here this morning!

The morning after Robert and Rena’s engagement party was a bit rough. When the alarm went off at 5:30am I did not want to get up. However, I had the horses to look after. I had just pulled on my jeans and a sweatshirt, when I watched with dismay as Donny rolled over. “Have a good day baby. My head is killing me. I’m just gonna stay in bed.” Yeah do that, while I do everything this morning. I thought it, but said, “Do you want a drink and an aspirin?” “Mmm, no thanks. I’m just gonna sleep

people who suffered abuse seem to be easily transported back to that pain with the right triggers ... easier to deal with when you're not alone, in the dark. a well written and meaningful poem, Gary. i understand the pain, and the longing on your Mum's birthday.. i feel it too. xoxo
