We only see Andy's POV, but you're right; their relationship wasn't committed. Tony did phone back in chapter 3, and Andy had messages and emails from him, so really, Andy could possibly have done a bit better. But Andy does care and we will see more of that in the next chapters. Thanks for your comments, CincyKris! 🌟

Thank you, Al. My seafaring vocabulary needs improvement. Do you know any cute sailors? In the real world, they likely would have never met. Now, their lives hang by a thread. --- This is also true. Let's hope for their luck to change.

You're right; no one is perfect. I was trying to say (and probably shouldn't be saying anything today) that Andy is a good guy, but as you say, he needs to put others first sometimes. Hopefully, he figures it out. 🤔

You can like people who are imperfect. Andy is certainly isn't perfect and he needs some life lessons. There's always hope. Matt and Ahmet are doomed to fail for a bunch of reasons. In their current situation, they cling together because that's the best they can hope for. Would they last in the real world? I don't think it would for long.

Thanks, Chris. You're right about Andy. He seriously needs to get a life. Matt and Ahmet are together but will be in great danger if Kanaan figures them out. Chapter 11 is the halfway point in this story. Let's see what happens on Wednesday.

Thank you, Gary L. I don't believe there's anything to be gained in writing horrific, distasteful scenes. The previous chapter gave readers enough of a taste, and they are intelligent. They know what's been happening to Matt, without additional details. Thank you for your insight. ❤️

You're right. Andy is moving on from Tony and preparing to write his next book. Maybe you're also correct about his finding love for himself; perhaps his life would improve if he found a partner. Ahmet and Matt are in trouble. Kanaan is self-centred and only worried about himself, though he does seem to briefly share feelings about his children. However, I don't think he easily forgives anyone.

The book tour for Stolen Lives started a month after publication and lasted three months. Andrew slogged around several continents, including the UK, North America, and Australia, with brief stops in Africa and Europe as he completed the tour. After landing in Edinburgh, he'd caught a connecting flight. He now looked out of the window as the plane started its approach to Stornoway Airport. He closed his eyes for a moment and let his thoughts whirl. It'll be good to be back home. I'll call
