Ya know, I was wondering if there was room in a Meta-led IC for humans. Like maybe Fink is supposed to be in it (maybe specifically bred to match the meta's inclinations for military power-bottoms). Maybe beta-ish (although, I think Gavin is up for second Beta). Also wonder if the reason Colt lost his wolf mark is because the IC was incomplete again and he needed to seek replacements. Could be a fuckton of gay wolf shifters who are beefy virgin power-bottoms just waiting in the wings until Colt needs them to round out his IC.

I think that's the problem Colt has with all this. If Prime wants him back because his scent has returned, then it proves Colt's point that their love for him is all scents and 'roid-sperm, and once he's lost it (or they have no need for it) they'll give him the boot again. Colt is in love with them, really in love with them, and their actions showed him that it was all one-sided. Colt's heart suffered a massive break. Prime and the IC will need to work hard to prove that they really love Colt, and aren't just keeping him around for scents, sperm, and prophesies. It may also be why Colt is holding back on sleeping with Bradley. How can he be sure that Bradley doesn't want him for his scents? Also, is Colt even away that his scent has returned? Neither Bradley nor Prime mention it, despite their awareness of it.

Epilogue -- Christmas Eve Eve

Thanks, Jeff. My original concept for this chapter did not include the first 3 scenes. Could you imagine me just dropping that bomb and walking off? -

OCD crazies actively search for rules to follow! Also, Donny Laplane is in the house, so Twoey better get his act together stat!

Okay, so Half-baked/Half-assed Reader Theory Time: Chris Fink shows up in Colt's life in exactly two places--right before the wolves really enter his life, and right after the wolves boot him from theirs. This can't be coincidence. Perhaps Maryann intended to use Fink to distract Colt from the wolves so he couldn't fulfill the prophesies. Heck, even get Colt to fall in love with Fink so he'd be motivated by heartbreak when he attends their wedding were she could trap him. It's also interesting that Bradley just happens to be at Colt's college, and just happens to befriend Jett and Rob (who just happens to be dating a suspiciously British lady). Was it conditioning or coincidence that made Colt's red-headed minifig his favorite?

'Rain also didn't say that Juaquin's explanations had to be palatable either. But, you gotta admit, if you're still willing to marry a person after that, then it has to be love, right? Also.....

I loved working with the third parties as it gave me a chance to show different sides of the guys. -

Think about the limits of 1st person. We think Cory and his parents are good because that's what he thinks, and outside of the small scene at the beginning, we haven't seen much of them to confirm. As for Facebook, 'Rain and Cory have been careful about their public image, but Preston (and Indie to a certain extent) are of the Zero Fucks school of public perception, so their pictures will be different. -

I'm currently mobilizing my cat army in case the pitchfork mob comes at me. I have one that will lick them because she's weird, one that will hack hairballs at them because he's furry, and one that will look at them disdainfully because he's an asshole.....which means I'm pretty much fucked if I don't get writing! I liked playing with the 3rd person POV, and will probably do it again, cause why the hell not. As for Cory, he's done this before. When he and 'Rain were fighting, he shut down completely and avoided people. Here's hoping his friends can pull him out of it -

When you have characters as hard to crack as Indie and Preston, sometimes you have to get someone else's perspective. -

Epilogue -- Christmas Eve Eve Molly Jones thoughtfully sipped her wine as she leaned against the kitchen counter. Indiana was all over the kitchen preparing their evening meal. He said it was just a simple Mexican soup recipe one of his roommates had taught him, but it looked delicious—whole chicken pieces with hearty chunks of potatoes, carrots, zucchini, celery, and cabbage, along with just enough jalapeno to give it some heat. He had an avocado in the fridge, which he told her would go on

The "needy" thing almost has me scared that Donny's gunna go Jimmy LaPlant(correct last name?) on David. What's the rule on putting your dick in crazy if you're also crazy?

Week Sixteen Sunday, December 21, 2014: Erik’s Swan Song
Dayne Mora commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Sixteen Sunday, December 21, 2014: Erik’s Swan Song
Alrighty, time for some more Church of Been-There-Done-That insights: Oh course Twoey is taking the path of least resistance and mourning Erik's loss! Abusers follow a pattern--grooming (in which the abuser earns the victim's trust and locates areas of vulnerability), isolation and dependency (in which the abuser makes the victim completely reliant on them), tension building, acute abuse ("straw that breaks the camel's back" kinda thing), reconciliation, and calm. The last four cycle over and over again, while the first two continue in the background. Victims learn to feel that they have no other option, which is sometimes why others have to intervene. After separating from their abuser, victims feel cast adrift and have to re-learn how to be independent. Erik picked up Twoey after Danny's death, and wormed his way in during his recovery. Then, when David told Twoey he'd understand if he didn't wait, Erik looked like the only option. Now that the only option is gone, Twoey feels alone. Without knowing David's mind (even if he knew that he and Donny were hanging out, Twoey wouldn't read too much into it). Twoey's responses are completely in-line with his experiences as a victim of abuse and his current knowledge of his world. Now, here's an idea on Ginny's responses: Ginny had been against Twoey pursuing David, and urged Twoey to forget about him, at least until David figured out his own mind. But then, the incident with Danny happened. She almost lost her son, but things seemed to be going well between David and Twoey. However, David was still leaving Twoey hanging. But then, this boy comes along and suddenly her son is happy. Could she have been turning a blind eye to Erik's behavior and the obvious changes in Twoey?
