Good thing I'm bringing them back for another book (and maybe a collection of shorts)!

Thanks for your words; they make me happy, too. We'll meet the Cards in the next book, oh, and Keenan Jerome will pop up, too.

Chapter 21 – Gagging For It Indie refused to acknowledge the stack of bills Laurel slapped into his hand. “Why do I have to go?” he asked. “You were supposed to bring alcohol, not send me to buy it two nights before.” “You always get the good stuff.” She shrugged. “We thought it would be better if we just collected the money we would have spent and had you pick out something worth drinking.” Laurel’s “we” referred to her two best girlfriends, Meggie and Lacey, and their boyfriends, Drew a

Just finished the rough draft for the latest chapter (career-killing levels of stress at work and new meds kinda made writing difficult). I'm working out the kinks (take that how you will), but in the meantime, I'll just leave these right here: ExC Mix Chillstep Mix

Someone said something about a little rabbit, referring to Kao. Dean as a cute widdle bunny wabbit sounds adorbs. Although, Dean had been scratched before he got to Kao, right? It would be interesting to see a herbivore/carnivore romance, if Kao and Dean are not of the same were species. I remember you mentioning bird shifters in the first book, but aside from a owl-clerk, you hadn't introduced any more, or even let poor Dylan see one (that I recall). Is that what you're doing with Dean? Hence the whole "Roost" thing? But, seriously, totally excited for the next chapter!

What if the rescue had been hijacked to lure the IC away and leave the pack open to attack?

Shitshitshitshitshitshit....who's guarding the compound?

Eustace is where Andy got the affinity for cedar and pine. But with hints of leather. I think he'd be a classic Old Spice guy, not what it has become, but what it was.
-
I associate clean smells with Andy, like soap or laundry detergent. Maybe cedar or pine. Perhaps as he got older, he'd become interested in scents -- something earthy and warm. Zander would be the guy that wore the thing all the other guys were wearing, but he would gravitate toward the crisp and cool scents. Citrus and spice, I think.

I think Cory has something up his sleeve to shut Baker up. As for Teague, putting Berta on his case might fix him right up. Once Kitten has his way, Butthurt and Buttinski will be more compliant.

Parents will be nice enough to pretend that you aren't screwing around under their roof (even if it is for their own sake). Your teammates on the other hand...I'm sure they'd take an unhealthily sadistic glee in roasting their boys if they so much as thought about sharing a room.

Thank you ^.^

Strange, but given that they engage in the same level of promiscuity, Matty receives more condemnation than Eric. Lots of finger-wagging and hand-wringing about him settling down and how he'd warp poor Chuck. Thing is, we should have known all along that Matty wouldn't harm Chuck from how he treated Twoey. In both cases, he practices what Dan Savage called the "public park rule" -- always leave a person better than how you found them. As the more experienced guy, he's a patient guide, even going so far as to care for Twoey after Eric date raped him. Sure he's a slut, but he's an ethical and principled slut (even if his moral code is unlike ours). Given the parallels between Eric and Matty, I am much more worried for Twoey. Mattie builds Chuck up; Eric is going to tear Twoey apart, whether it's his intent or not. Mattie and Chuck are not boyfriends, and are not monogamous, but their relationship is actually pretty healthy. Eric and Twoey are exclusive (and out, no less), but this is far from healthy. Maybe we put too much stock in monogamy, leading to some getting into, or staying in, relationships that do them more harm than good just because that's the expectation. DOWN WITH TWOIC! DOWN WITH DAVEX!

I think the participants were equally confused! And Baker wasn't helping matters. But, man will all y'all be confused when the Brain Trust insists on first names!
-
The PersonAxPersonB construct is a yaoi/shipping/slashing thing. The first person is the predominant top, the second the bottom (most times, I put Efrain and Indie ahead of Cory and Preston when talking about their pairings). I'd been calling it ExC for a bit, but I wanted to include my other pairing and they aren't a couple (and, for a while they were pretty antagonistic), so I though "v" would work. Also, I told you guys I was shit at titling larger works!
-
Those outside actors tho. Teague is right about them both - 'Rain needs to man up, and Cory needs to be more aggressive about what he wants. Otherwise....
-
It was a fun convo to play with, especially Baker's role in it all. Baker isn't gay, but maybe just a little jealous. But, you have to consider, Efrain has been pretty closed off, even with his friends. Teague could be the closest he's come to a best friend, but they don't even use first names. I have to admit, I'm guilty of back chatter (messaging another person in the room during a larger conversation). Back chatter will probably become more prominent as we get more attached to our various smart devices. I mean, it's even a thing to tweet or text during meeting and conferences, and have presenters respond in real time.
-
Poor Baker. He's going to catch so much crap for it, too. But, something Cory didn't consider - since the whole Brain Trust knows, there will be five more people sticking their noses in.
-
We got to talking about ship names for the guys in GA chat a week or so ago, and I just had to include it. Sometimes the sex scenes seem superfluous. Perhaps I should just write them anyways and tuck them into a side thingy.
-
I'm working out the details for the next chapter (I'm working from a timeline, but develop the finer details when I write). I had a moment of inspiration earlier, and chapter 21 got set aside so I could work with the epilogue. I'll try not to take 3 weeks this time >.>

Chapter 20 – Man Crush Saga JJ Teague’s first order of business had been to whack my boyfriend upside the head. We’d arrived a little earlier than scheduled for our little study session with the Brain Trust, and Teague apparently felt this was the perfect time to knock Efrain’s ball cap off. “What the fu–” Efrain’s curse cut off in an undignified squawk as Teague pulled him into a headlock. Efrain frantically tried to pry Teague’s arm off his neck, but the offensive tackle held fast. I felt
