  1. When my husband and I first adopted Max, we took him out to a local place that served French-style breakfast/brunch. He ordered escargot, much to my horror! UGH!! I mean, I'm glad that he was willing to be adventurous, but why did it have to be SNAILS?! Apart from that, Max usually likes an egg salad sandwich or some kind of chicken wrap for his lunch. Once in a while, he'll surprise me with a request for something new, which will often be added to my recipe binder. He rarely indulges his sweet tooth, except as a reward after a hard afternoon of ballet training, or for a special occasion.
  2. I should do the same for my snickerdoodle bars. Cinnamon-sugar between two layers of cookie dough, with more cinnamon-sugar on top. My son, Max, doesn't eat too many sweets because of his training as a dancer, but he loves snickerdoodles.
  3. Tartiflette! Yum! For a brief moment, I was picturing a raclette with potatoes, ham, pickles, etc. I mean, reblochon and raclette are very similar in appearance and the dishes they're served with. 🤷‍♂️
  4. Dip a baguette into it, and call it dinner.
  5. It doesn't describe you, either.
  6. Work on Monday. Laundry and grocery shopping on Tuesday. Work again on Thursday and Friday. Might take my kid to see a movie on Saturday.
  7. I'm sure Clochette would love to be Best Maid at the wedding of her Wonder Twin, Drew.
  8. Seriously, guys. Just rent a hotel room already.
  9. Max is back home from his SI program today, and I made a blueberry-buttermilk crumb cake for after dinner.
  10. Hey, Terry! How are you and Aod?
  11. Except the pole that measures your height.
  12. A new song from Benicio!
  13. *raises hand* Hey, Dugh and Mum! Glad to hear you're feeling better.
  14. Awww. Javon Walton is so shy and sweet, but he's also a BEAST in training sessions!
  15. According to this data, the most recent earthquake was almost 60 km (nearly 37 miles) west of Austin. It registered at Magnitude 1.66 https://earthquakes.zone/austin I've felt heavier shaking from farm equipment.
  16. With Chrome, I think it largely depends on how you adjust the controls. I recently upgraded to a computer with Windows 11, and it comes with Microsoft Edge preinstalled. It feels like the autonomy is even more restricted than Chrome, but I haven't really used it enough to study the controls.
  17. @raven1 Hey, Terry! How are things?
  18. @spike382 @Drew Espinosa If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it sounds like the plot of a BL drama.
  19. I just found a book on Amazon titled Best Men, by Sidney Karger. Guy meets girl (but they're just friends) Girl meets another guy (they get engaged) Bride's best friend is also her best man. Groom's younger brother is HIS best man. Can these two best men work together without upstaging the happy couple? (Probably not).
  20. Wow! So, this new movie is based on Bram Stoker's Dracula. Specifically, Chapters Seven and Eight, otherwise known as The Captain's Log. Damn! Here's hoping the new movie does justice to Mr. Stoker's work!
  21. I'm sure Mama Espinosa could recount some stories that prove otherwise.
