Well. It seems that Morgan and I are hosting a foreign exchange student until Wednesday, in a roundabout way. The neighbors who hosted a cookout last weekend received a call from a relative, who wanted the family to visit NOW. Even though the neighbors had informed their family that they would have a houseguest, and thus wouldn't be open to sudden changes in plans, she called anyway. She was very insistent. (Read it: demanding and manipulative.) Her house is too small for the neighbors and Sascha to all fit, and she didn't/wouldn't want a stranger there, anyway. Consequently, Sascha was left home alone this weekend. I could see the family felt guilty about leaving him, but Sascha said, "You should go. Family is family. I can manage myself." I felt bad for him, so I said, "You're welcome to come over and have dinner with us." He brightened immediately and said, "Thank you. I will accept your invitation." I asked him if there was anything in particular that he wanted to eat. He grinned and replied "Tartiflette!" So, tonight, it's Tartiflette for dinner.

I didn't realize the stud in question was Manu Rios until Drew pointed it out. Comicality isn't here right now, so I feel I must advocate on his behalf.

Now may not be the best time to mention this, but I think Comicality already has a claim on Manu Rios. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, kids grow up faster than you think. There's not much anyone can do if Max suddenly hits puberty; if it happens, it happens. But, I agree with you; I hope that Max stays as a kid for a few more years, so we can snuggle on the sofa, and bake cookies at midnight, and share conversations about how our day went. Since Uncle Mickey grew up and started college, he hasn't been around as often, and I missed that friendship. I'd like at least three more years before Max enters the moody, reclusive stage and doesn't want to spend time with his parents anymore, but I'll settle for two years.

I believe Drew is 5'6", so Max still has a way to go.

I'm 6 feet tall! @Drew Espinosa is the one who should be worried!

Last time I checked, Max was 4 feet, 8 inches tall. Now, he's 4 feet, 10 inches tall, which is taller than most of his classmates.

I think we might watch that tonight.
