  1. We're having pork chops and broccoli-cheddar mac for dinner tonight.
  2. No, things are great at home. I won't go into details, but I had to report a new member
  3. Things are alright, I suppose.
  4. Hey, Marty! Hey, Albert!
  5. One of my favorites growing up was called the A to Z Mysteries, by Ron Roy. The Absent Author, The Bald Bandit, The Canary Caper, etc...those really improved my retention ability. Another one was The Boxcar Children mysteries. Four children are orphaned, and live in an abandoned boxcar because they believe that their grandfather is a cruel old man. After one of the kids falls sick, they seek help from a doctor, which leads to a chance meeting with their estranged relative. As I recall, there were at least 200 books in that series, not including "Special Edition" stories. But then I stopped reading after I found out that the author, Gertrude Warner, had passed away after writing Book #19. Every book published after that was penned by a "collective" of writers using her name.
  6. They definitely looked too old. 😛 And I'm aware that 30 isn't too far off for me, so maybe I sound hypocritical, but it just turns me off when actors have such a drastic age difference from the characters they play.
  7. Watched a movie on Freeform called The Thing About Harry. It's about a young gay man forced to drive cross-country with his former high school bully, owing to the fact that they each have been invited to a classmate's engagement party. The snag? His ex-bully is gay, too. What could possibly go wrong? All of the actors are 10 years too old for the roles portrayed in this film. The protagonist and his "love interest" attend the same college, but appear to be 30-something. It was very awkward to watch a grown homosexual man spoon with his heterosexual gal pal in the opening scene as if they were still teenagers. The scripting felt weak and the characters were flat. It had all the mediocrity of a Hallmark movie, with none of the charm.
  8. Hey, Drewberry Pi! How are you faring? The radishes, basil, and chives are all doing well this year. The sage has struggled in past years, but it seriously exploded this year. It even has little purple flowers on top of the stems! Oh, and the tomatoes are really flourishing as well. The weather has been hot, and I've had to water some plants twice a day to keep the soil from drying out.
  9. How are things with you and Steve, Albert?
  10. @Comicality Kids and their imagination! Personally, I don't know that I would have pictured my future quite like that, but it was enjoyable to watch.
  11. Hey, Dugh, Mum, and Thistle. *scratches for Thistle*
  12. I knew you'd say that.
  13. It's a very relaxing game. There's three different ways to play it: Story Mode, Challenge Mode, or Sandbox Mode. Some of the drinks actually sound very tasty.
  14. It's cloudy here, too, with a slight chance of rain later. Hopefully I won't have to water the garden. I recently downloaded a game on Steam called "Coffee Talk". You have to make drinks for customers, and you can add "Latte Art" on top of some of them. I can do a blobby shamrock, a pine tree, or a heart monitor pulse.
  15. We had Taco-grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. Grilled onions and peppers, taco meat, tortilla chips, and a whole pile of cheese in a toasted sandwich. Spicy roasted potatoes on the side.
  16. I made a salted watermelon sorbet. It tastes so good.
  17. We weren't at the beach on Independence Day; it's right next to US-31, so we saw it from the car as we were driving down the road.
  18. I'll say this: it felt weird, not having events for Pride or July 4th this year. There were a few people swimming at Clinch Park on Independence Day, but it looked more like the weekend after the tourist season is over. Maybe we'll go on a trip before this is over.
  19. The young lady who created the recipe in the 1950's called it that because her brothers, boy-cousins and male friends, etc, all gobbled it up.
